  1. Item relisted because I said 'almost new" and Ebay threw a fit - they also didn't like me putting in a link to the socalvintagebmw.com website. Wankers. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-2002-OEM-Door-Brake-Pair-Perfect-Condition_W0QQitemZ280326486422QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item280326486422&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A10%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 Enjoy. bid with confidence.... Jeff
  2. Why not V12? Imagine the gasoline bills...... Jeff
  3. Shameless plug, but they are in near perfect condition.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-2002-OEM-Door-Brake-Pair-Excellent-Almost-New_W0QQitemZ280325618648QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item280325618648&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A10%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 Enjoy! Jeff
  4. Cripes! and a Cali car to boot.....one of you Texans go git that vehicle.....! We'll work out something to get it back to Cali and make a Targa car out of it....! Jeff
  5. Hilarious Andy.... All the 25 year olds with their blinged out E36's and up would dig it at Bummer fest......this car would qualify to come to this years SoCal Vintage BMW meet....however......Thank gawd he did this to an E21 instead of a more desirable chassis. Jeff
  6. Karl, Can't tell you how many times I was at Young's when I was in College....sausage sandwiches and their milk shakes - from their own Jersey cows - was the cat's ass! Anyway, I put an alma mater sticker on the '75 recently - I do hope they get the school back up and running. Jeff
  7. Norm, I had my eye on your touring, and was ready to pounce, but I think the auction ended some odd time on a weekday, and I couldn't pull the trigger at work....I was very upset! Jeff
  8. Left, but only if your car is Nevada or Bristol. Otherwise the right one is a lead pipe cinch. How helpful was that? Jeff
  9. Thomas Sort of like finding $20 in your pocket before you wash your pants.....nice line up of 02's.....looks like it was a helluva fun day out there. Oh wait, this was our show.........! Anyway, if you look closely you can see John Barlow's Glas whispering over to Norm's Alpina CS how critical it is for him to go forth and acquire a Glas GT. The rest, they say, is history. Next event is the Glendora Mountain Road Hill Climb......Woodley Park again October 24......can't wait.....Thanks for the great re-visit Thomas. Jeff

  11. looks like that photo was taken atop Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park in Maine......
  12. Andy W and Chris M sent over some really nice photos from last week's drive. More are on the www.socalvintagebmw.com website. Enjoy! Jeff
  13. I think the photog was on the hill going up the snake, and he was just getting set up there. Here's a couple of photos I have of us waiting for the flatbed to pick up John's beast - drop one bolt out of the linkage and your driving day day is done....at least I got a very good view of his front through my rear mirror for a little while up Old Topanga.....! Jeff
  14. So I guess the photographer by the Rock store was there after all.....did any of the drivers (when we were stopped) or passengers shoot some photos? Jeff
  15. So I guess the photographer by the Rock store was there after all.....
  16. Looks like the bad weather will hold off until Monday, so we're good to go for tomorrow. 7AM at the Vons/Pavilions parking lot at Sunset and Pacific Coast Highway - might be a tad chilly at that hour! If you sign up on the www.socalvintagebmw.com website, I'll get a hard count in case I manage to get some doughnuts.....see you guys nice and early! Jeff
  17. At this point it looks like the rain will be today, and then hold off until Monday - so it looks like Sunday's drive is ON! I will keep an eye on the weather, and update accordingly. I've also extended the time you can register online through tomorrow night, so you can go to the www.socalvintagebmw.com website and sign up there. Thanks! Jeff
  18. Stay tuned - the weather looks lousy for the weekend. If it's raining we'll postpone until 3/1. We'll make that call on Saturday, and post and email everyone, so be ready! Yikes, a SoCal event rained out....I guess it happens! Jeff
  19. Rob in SLO is always a solid choice, and for comparison purposes there is always Carl Nelson in La Jolla and Cris Howard (Act 1) in Calimesa - both great guys who do top grade work. I'm also going to plug Michael DuBois in Hollister to get your paint and body work done there.....! Jeff
  20. I know it's early, and Sunday is the only day I have a chance to sleep in as well. However, these roads get clogged with motorcycles, bicycles, sheriff's deputies, CHP officers and other enthusiasts and their clubs fairly early. Getting out this early gives a shot at driving these roads (on a weekend) with minimal interference, and a chance to leg it out a bit (although I rarely lead the pack since I like to adhere to posted speed limits) I promise when we do the Glendora Mt Road climb in a couple of months it will start later. Also, I'm thinking about taking Decker Canyon off the back part of the route - very tight and twisty going downhill, and going out Mullholland the full way will give more speed stretches. Not that you should speed, of course, as these roads have a habit of hiding police officers very well....we have about a dozen folks so far, and some coming from Orange County - now that's getting up early! Jeff

  22. I know a bunch of guys were saying they wanted to get out on this drive, but as of yet there are only about 6 'commits'. I know we are all wait til the last minute on these things, but if you plan on going please visit socalvintagebmw website at http://socalvintagebmw.com/WarmUpDrives.html There are links to the registration page and route map - and having a head count always helps safety wise....this will be a fun drive. Doesn't look like there's much interest in breakfast, which is no problem - once we park at the Colony Center and line the cars up, you can go grab a bite or get coffee, etc......thanks! Jeff
  23. Thanks Ray, that's why I let Jack F tune my tii when I owned it.....I'm able to get my 38/38 to idle right, which qualifies me for grease chimpanzee.... Jeff
  24. Thanks Ray for rallying the OC troops....I know the feeling, I have to be on the freeway at 5:30-6 to get down to Cars & Coffee by 7(ish) and I still feel like I'm the last guy to get there.... Jeff
  25. Here's the route...... http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=CA-1&daddr=34.138378,-118.639297+to:Mulholland+Hwy+to:Mulholland+Raceway%2FSchueren+Rd+to:Mulholland+Raceway%2FPiuma+Rd+to:Piuma+Rd+to:Mulholland+Hwy+to:Mulholland+Hwy+to:CA-23%2FWestlake+Blvd+to:CA-1&hl=en&geocode=FSpjBwIdyP_u-A%3B%3BFZzMCAIddo_t-A%3BFYoJCAIdlJzt-A%3BFbHWBwIdhTjt-A%3BFVINCAIdZLbs-A%3BFQR0CAIdesnr-A%3BFcxWCAIdsFzr-A%3BFaZoCAIddF3q-A%3BFblTBwIdSOrs-A&mra=dme&mrcr=0&mrsp=1&sz=13&via=1,2,4,5,6,7&sll=34.127721,-118.644104&sspn=0.083412,0.146427&gl=us&ie=UTF8&z=13 Went the front side of the route today, Old Topanga to Stunt Rd and down Piuma.......this will be fun..... Jeff
