    you can attack the flanged nuts that hold it in place by removing the door panel and going at it from the inside.

    I was at work as usual and heard the report of the first plane crashing into one of the twin towers. i also thought it was a small plane. then the report of the pentagon, so i headed home and huddled around the tv with my wife and two children. what a tragic day, and i still tear up when thinking about the innocent people of all religious/political beliefs that lost their lives, in addition to the hero's that rescued so many and were killed in the process about two years earlier i had encouraged my wife to take our daughter, who was a tennis player, to the US Open each year as a mother/daughter trip. i then mentioned they should go to Windows on the World restaurant at the top of one of the towers for lunch. i had been there in 1985 and it was an incredible view, so that becme part of the annual trip. they were there about 10 days before 9/11. it still scares the heck out of me, and i too am greatful just to be able to be with friends and family. watching the twin towers burn and fall should be required for history in high school

    i don't like the rear shock tower brace/battery locater solution either so i welded up my own. not very elegant but it works

    me 2 the 135 M coupe, or whatever they are going to name it, is coming. if bmw has a "delete" list (delete power windows, sunroof, power seats, etc.) it may be a very nice car.

    IMSA and the old Camel GT racing series were the heyday of racing. I used to go to Laguna Seca to watch these cars fly.

    i like my recaro's much better than stock seats to recover them in leather with a matching rear seat the cost i was quoted was $3k +1 on sitting in whatever seat you have in mind BEFORE buying i have two sets of recaros and one set is uncomfortable while the other is perfect

    what is your preference? my son's car has 9.5 pistons, 300* cam, header he currently is using NGK BP6ES plugs and it runs ok. i'm finishing up on all the small details before i drive it to california where he's in school. as always, thanks

    you've got a short to ground in the system. no easy way to know where until you track it down. the relay is tucked under the dash, left of the steering wheel, mounted to a bracket against the firewall

    having owned e30's and 2002's, they're completely different if you like working on cars, as i do (stress therapy), a 2002 is a straight forward car to work on. this board can probably get you thru any issues you run into. plus, almost any part you will need is still made by BMW. AND, they are just plain fun to drive at any speed. a 2002 with a modest suspension kit is balanced and a blast in any condition, rain or shine. And, lots of people recognize the cars and like to talk and wave and smile. and you'll own a piece of history, the car that put BMW on the map so to speak, at least in the USA. Ans, last but not least, you'll get to know blunt (you poor guy LOL)

    Im not sure what is wrong with you. Maybe youve been overseas too long. How do you expect me to get you a hose when you supply a wrong part number? Heres the number you gave me copied and pasted right from your email Herr Blunt, Couple more parts to order; heater hose-6421353368 notice how many digits there are??? Its short one. Im pretty good with the ETK but not that good... You told me to order you a fuse cover 4 days ago. Which i did. But no worries I can sell it to someone else. There are plenty of parts suppliers out there. i suggest you find one that has the time to correct your errors. You never once emailed me to discuss anything other than to give me incorrect part numbers. Im sorry you feel Ive let you down some way. I just dont see it its those pesky 1's i tell you they catch me all the time and herr sleketon. wtf are you ordering parts from the USA for? most come from germany, you know, where you live.

    check the torque in the lower control arm nut if its not torqued down properly it will cause the car to wander and go from understeer to oversteer, which can be exciting ask me how i know......

    you know what, i'm pretty proud of greg my son most of the item$ on the car he earned by working and saving his $ and he did 90% of the work. i'm just finishing up loose ends so the cosmetics and stuff like blinkers all ore ok. the flares were his idea, he found the compomotive wheels on fleabay, and tried to duplicate big dog's enigine bay
