Those allen bolts would work well, actually. I was also thingking of little plastic plugs. I saw another forum member who had it. I'll have to search it down.

I'll get some pics of the whole process tomorrow. I had to dremel out some holes in the trunk and use spacers because the sides of the bumper wouldn't sit flush to my car. Ill get pics soon!

I used some M6, M5 & M4 bolts, hit 'em with a bit of body colored spraypaint. Not awful.

Man, your bumper seems like a much better fit than mine. Mine sits about a quarter inch lower than it should. As for the two sides of the bumper that replace the trim, those site about a quarter to a half inch off the car. I wonder why? Ill get some pictures tomorrow.

You're dealing with 40 year old metal. It's probably bent up and twisted. You gotta massage it some more. I had to do a lot of tweaking on mine to get it to line up, it still isn't that great honestly. What bumper mounts are you using, the '72s?

You drilled holes on the side and mounted the anchor bolts too, right?

Here are some more pictures!

Here's the gap on the side that I was talking about:

How low it sits:

How I drilled into the trunk. I used a dremel and then just screwed it in!
