Most popular solution seems to be to use a 100K resistor in parallel with one of the two coil diodes.

Wow, I FINALLY managed to cobble something together that works here. I had to add TJF's 100K voltage divider to the original diode circuit AFTER the Zener, so I now have the below circuit, which works over the entire rev band.

BUMP from the past....

Just tried both of the schematics (with and without zener diode) listed here and no luck at all. Tach worked before EDIS/Megajolt. I definitely had it all wired up correctly and had no success whatsoever. even tried it with just one resistor and no diode and got nothing.

Anyone have an updated 100 percent working solution? if at all possible I would like to use the "tach out" on the megajolt to run the stock tach to keep the engine bay wiring clean.

Any information?
