Looks like Paul Newman's racer has the rare "Bear paw" 5-spoke wheels

Or maybe the "Daisy" or "200-S"

From this site about the Libre wheels:

"The 200-S was also made in a four-spoked version for cars with four-lug bolt patterns, and in that form was called the Libre. On the street and in SCCA racing, these were very popular on import cars, especially Datsun 240Z coupes and 510 sedans, as well as MGB and Triumph roadsters.

These wheels, like many other American Racing wheels, were cast at a foundry in Portland, Oregon. When the foundry shut down in the late 1970s, American Racing then contracted their casting to Rockwell industries. Those wheels do not say "American Racing Equipment" on the insides like the earlier ones."

Wow! Those sure do take me back... My neighbor worked at a Datsun dealership and had a set on his 2000 and another on his 510. That was over twenty years ago!

My brother had 13x7's on his Datsun 510 with the bubble flares.....LOVED those rims!

Bolt Pattern is 4x100, offset is essentially 0. Wheels came off a 1600/2002 with Schnitzer flares. These are apparently early wheels as they read " American Racing Wheel" in script inside each of them. Look carefully at the picture. The wheels are in Atlanta.

Yup, they are cool. But they do need turbo flares... ( I have a set, too )
