im looking to get rid of the chrome from the front of the 1602, i've moted it now and am in the process of replacing the front valance with one i picked up from a scrap yard local to me for £15! buy chance!

i currently have this setup on the front which is apparently the early style,

i am not refitting the bumper as i prefer it without and i want to get the black grills for it,

any ideas where i can get hold of them? and if there is much market in shifting my current ones..

(im based in southwest UK btw)

leave yer car alone !

'over here' we throw out the black plastic grills

when you carry boxes of them to swap meets and your tired of

selling then for a Buck ( $1 US ) a piece.

LEAVE YOUR CAR THE WAY IT IS !

........second thought !

you should apply your time and MONEY on a new hood,

and LOOK under the car for more of the cancer

that is spreading from the hood

Remove the centre & side grilles, then take a picture & post it. We can then tell you which nose panel (early or late) you have and which grilles match.

the chrome grill isnt in good shape.

the valance failed the mot so i have replaced it with another, which i found in a scrap yard!

the donor for the valance...

we cut the old valance off and found some corrosion! replaced the corner and the bottom lip. the pictures arent great,

unfortunately i need new calipers to get the mot which is a shame,

i wont be putting the bumper back on the front and i prefer the look of the black grills.

the chrome ones arent in great condition if im honest. a few snaps anyway...

Yup, looks early... but the kidney's later.

LOOK under the car for more of the cancer

that is spreading from the hood

rust won't jump from panel to panel...

And it's odd how different shells rust- a rusty nose doesn't

necessarily mean anything else is. Often can be, but doesn't have to be...
