My baby just got HIT... HELP!

Long story short I'm a young 2002 enthusiast and I've only had my current '72 2002 for 3 months. Some delivery guy wasn't looking at the road and ended up running straight through me while i turned into a parking lot. I'm honestly crushed and I don't know where to begin... I took all of his information down and called up my Dad's friend who owns a local shop for a recommendation. He sent me to some shop called masterpiece bodyworks who gave me an estimate of around 2k without trim, bumper, etc... I wasn't really pleased with what i saw at the shop and it wasn't comforting when he told me that they do most of their work on American trucks. I live in SoCal and I'm looking for any recommendations of shops around here that have done work on your cars. I'll post some pictures of the mess. Thank God I'm alive he almost broke through my tank.

Here is the fail.

I'm using a body shop in Gardena, CA for a complete top-to-bottom metal repair/replacement and paint restoration job on a '73 Tii . . . the look of the shop may not impress you, but the work will. (I've also got a line on bumpers if you need them.)

Email me off line, if interested. ken -at- blaskoracing -dot- com (won't be following this thread)

Might be too far away but Michael Dubois has a body shop in Hollister. He's well known here and has a beautiful body shop. He loves '02's, owning 2 of them himself. Great guy to know.

That really sucks!

It does look very repairable though. I may even have a rear clip for you.

Call Mike at MIK auto Body, talk to Mike. They are in Sun Valley. They will be very reasonable AND they know 02's very well. My 74 is in their shop right now, leaves tomorrow, and they did one hell of a job. Tell them that John Barlow with the Black M20 turbo sent you.....Mike will take care of you. If you need parts, I will do what I can. It looks like a nice car! Are you going to the SoCal Vintage BMW meet this weekend? GO!!!!!!!!!

John I really appreciate your help. I will be calling Mike tomorrow after class and hopefully work something out very soon. It looks like I'm going to be needing a new bumper and some trimming at the very minimum. I will definitely be contacting you for more help. Thanks again

this was after paint. Its my dads car and we planned on restoring it as there were blemishes so after it was hit the insurance money helped jump start that. His biggest problem was fighting the insurance company for the money and not getting a rebuilt title.

Since you're in HB, you should look in Autobahn in Costa Mesa. They have an outstanding reputation and work on foriegn and exotics. Check out their website.

Has anyone had any work done at Autobahn? Thank you for all of your recommendations. I really appreciate all your help. If you don't mind keep 'em coming. The guy who hit me is being a pain, but regardless of what happens I need to have some quality work done. I'll keep you guys posted.
