A 2002 won last year, and it's all I can think about these days. We have a backup 02 race car at the shop and the thought of putting a passenger seat in it and entering the race haunts my dreams.

The 2002 won it's class, not the whole thing. But still, it's a good story. He rolled it the year before, and you'd think it was over for the car. He fixed the car, entered it and won the following year. Amazing.

Couldn't tell for sure, but the car sure looks like a 53-55/6 Studebaker coupe....but that doesn't sound like a Studebaker 259 engine!

Your post prompted me to search for the driver and you tube didn't disappoint. It's probably one of the best car build-prep-crash-rebuild on site-finish the event videos I've ever seen.

This car was at our VRG event at Limerock last summer.  He said that after the race he was shipping it down to Mexico city to get it ready for the Carrera, dont know if he made it in or not, but nice car
