Just bought a 1970 ti

Congrats! Yes, interesting mirror, is the driver's side the same? The springs will lower it, hope those are not e21 rims i.e. have the right offset to put 185/70 tires into those wheel arches. Lowering a bit and chunky tires to fill the arches make a big difference...at least optically.

Very nice! Extremely desirable. Granada red, I would expect, although it appears a bit Verona in tonality?

 

Yes, the suspension presently appears higher than stock. Any possibility that the suspension components were tightened before there was weight on the suspension? I gather this will be corrected with the new springs…

Nice car! Where did you find it and where is your location? 

I guess your year does not have strut spacers but look and see.  Drops the front easily while you wait for the springs. 

Spring changing can really lead to mission creep.. struts, ball joints.. strut bearings. 

Post more pics.

@Roland presents a strong case, in the above thread, that even some (a few?) Euro-spec ‘02’s received spacers — albeit the thinner, 1/2”, versions — but I don’t believe spacers are the norm for ti’s, all built to European specs. If Eric’s car does not have spacers, its exceptional height is harder to explain. But also, spacers could have been added post-factory, perhaps to Federalize the car, if it was imported into the U.S.
