johnpompa
Price: $1 Location: Los Angeles Description: Hi 2002 FAQ members. I'm planning on parting with my 2002, but before listing I want to determine a fair and competitive price. This is a '76 five-speed, Weber, Euro turn signals, pretty clean but was likely tapped at one point. The hood is slightly misaligned and signs of repaint. Very little rust, some located in spare tire well. Interior is nice, clean carpet, some minor dash cracks. Coco mats, vintage Blaupunkt, Momo steering wheel with BMW horn button. Low mileage Pirelli Cinturato CN36 tires on 13" Octavos. This is believed to be a longtime CA car. Weber Motors of San Leandro dealer sticker and Cal Bears Backer sticker on the windshield. The car has passed smog during the five years of my ownership. Odometer reads 37364, clean CA title in hand. I appreciate the knowledge of the members, your feedback is valued. I'm willing to post more photos or answer questions. Thanks and happy new year. johnpompa
Also, I was asked about the wheels and CA smog. The car has passed smog during the five years of my ownership and the wheels are 13" Octavos.
Mario Falfan
IMO, Am thinking 18k to 20k. If it’s running well. How’s the interior?
johnpompa
Runs well, recently tuned. Interior good, couple cracks in the dash, clean carpet, no tears in roof liner, Momo steering wheel, still have original, perfect door cards. Upholstery ok, back and passenger seat no tears, but divers side seat not as good. Thanks for the feedback. Mario Falfan
It’s a very desirable color, and the 5 speed has been done. The paint looks good, Euro turn signals and a California black plate. The seats will end up being replaced for some Recaro or E30 seats! The best of luck!
Teelinger
Ah, I love me my Inka 😉. Here's a good car for comparison: https://slo.craigslist.org/cto/d/paso-robles-1976-bmw-2002/7246572138.html And read up on the feedback when it didn't sell on BAT: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1976-bmw-2002-97/

02Les
Don't see much wrong with the Hood alignment, but something's up with the nose panel. Looks like it's pulled out in the centre & pushed in on the drive side.

I’m not a Californian, but I believe black plates ended more-or-less with the ‘60’s, and there were no vanity black plates back in the day... johnpompa
Yes, those are reissue black plates. Blue plates would have been issued for a ‘76, I believe.

Regards, Steve 69’ is the last year of original black plates. Blue plates following that then a few years of sunrise plates. Then white, then white with cursive script if I recall. They started reproducing black (vanity plates) back in late 2015 early 2016 if memory serves. Vanity plates started in the blue era.
