Photos of later 02 with painted grilles?

Thinking about painting the grilles on my'75 a chrome/silver color, worried it may look funky since the grilles aren't cut off toward the nose like earlier years. If anyone has pics that'd be great. Cheers, thanks

It does look a bit funky... especially when it gets chipped by normal road roads.

 

there is a picture in speedhunters coverage of a Japanese classic car show. It was 2017 or 18.

I tried this while doing the m42 swap. All the pieces had to be out anyway. Used that peelable finish so if it doesn’t grab me...

Matches the not so shiny bumpers and trim.

Thank you Jason. No problem, except that I'm working thru the bugs in the M42 swap. Gretta is currently in social isolation in my carport. Not a lot of room to get bigger pics without having all my cr*p showing. I will update in a couple dayswhen I get her out and about.

I'm liking that. Now I'm feeling lazy for not painting some slats.

I promised more pics of my car, but since this thread is about painted grills...
