Do you mean Forged Pistons?

 

And are you asking about Ireland's specific offering?

 

My red car has 10:1 forged pistons but not from ireland. Looking for more color perhaps can then help more.

A bit more information about what you are trying to build would be helpful.  There are advantages and disadvantages to forged pistons,  for a daily driver of moderate HP I believe cast pistons are a better choice.  There is a long explanation about piston growth with temperature and cold clearances etc.  I don't recommend forged pistons unless you are willing to start the engine and build some heat BEFORE you drive off.  The stock connecting rods will take a lot of power before you have to start worrying.  What are your other plans with the engine/car?

Helpful, but, as Byron (Preyupy) asked, what is your goal for the car?

 

1. Better-than-stock street car

2. Full-out track car

3. Something in between

 

If your choice is 3., is your goal closer to 1. or 2.?
 

Is a smooth idle important? Is high-test gas readily available? What other modifications are you contemplating? Suspension? Brakes?

Importantly, where are you located?

Actually this leads me to think, wouldn't it be cool if the board had some sort of consensus of the "perfect setup" for each of the three situations that Steve lists.  A bit of work, but could be a thread that provides options and then members vote on "best" for "suspension", "engine", "brakes", transmission and diff"...

 

Not trying to threadjack, just thinking out loud.
