Spam On the Site

As you might have noticed we got some spam in the last few hours.   I have cleared all that i have seen and the users have been banned. 

 

I have also modified the way people sign up for accounts with a different style of captcha. Hopefully this will help as the previous style was not working.

Yah, thanks for getting ahead of this.  It seems it is bypassing or there is something wrong with the notification settings as well.  I changed mine from new topics once they are posted to daily but am still getting them instantly

Not sure if it's possible, but maybe try blocking any post with gsa33 in the subject or body.  That seems to be a common text item.

Someday I am so going to try this - check out James Veitch on YouTube - he has a series of e-mails where he responds to scams\spam e-mails.
