Question about value

Hello

I will be selling my car soon, but don’t know how much will be a good value for the car.

is a 1973 2002, that was restored back in 2007, every is working, with the exception of the heater and I’m not sure if is working or not is not connecte and I have not try.

engine compressor and leak test was perfect 2 months ago, car has no rust at all, underneath is perfect condition,

it had a Weber 36, everything else is original except the bumper brackets I have change them to 1972 brackets.

the seats need new pads, which I have, just have not have the time to take the car to the upholster, the vinyl is good condition.

and is only missing the center console.

will like an honest opinion on value, probably will trade the car in.

I was thinking $25K

thanks

JV

I was calling different 2002 shops and similar cars selling for more than that, but I’m not an expert that is why I’m asking here.

I bought the car several month ago, with plans of making it into a DD, and I love the car. But still since I’m in Florida I was planing on adding AC and radio. Maybe a 5 speed.

but the wife dose not like the idea, and she think is not save for me to take the kids to school on the car.

Probably the only real way to know the worth is to list/sell it on eBay or perhaps BringaTrailer. With plenty of pics and description. Looks like a nice car. It may be worth $25K to someone.

It may be hard, and take time to find that someone -- or not!

Cheers,

Ray

Stop reading this! Don't you have anything better to do?? :P

Im not selling the car here now, all I want is an honest number.

lets said the car is in great to almost excellent condition.

not a grand concourse.

everything works expect the heater.

and interior is great expect missing the center console and the seat padding which I have them.

Restoration in the last 10 years it looks like every bushing was change.

Your 73 looks very nice. You probably paid quite a bit for it.

Two minor things I noticed from the last picture set:

the differential hanger bushing on the left looks old and torn

the white nylon piece in the lower muffler donut is missing

jvaz...from pictures provided the car looks very clean, more pictures would help with feedback...Ray's advice a great way to judge your car against ones that have sold...

Good advice to sign up on Being a Trailer!  You can’t beat what you see and read on there.  Some of us are already addicted!

;-)

Value depends on history, condition & desirability.  A very nice Verona ‘72tii just sold on BaT for $37,000, and I believe the only thing that held it back from cresting $40,000 was it didn’t have original engine (although the original went with the sale), plus it has been selectively restored with some original paint & patina remaining....not a 100 point car, but very nice overall!

Every car is different so value can vary accordingly, but generally roundies command more money, and I personally think that a ‘73 is one of the best years for the ‘02.
