Something for boost freaks

Here's what I believe fastest -02 at the moment. 2.2 liters, 3.4bar boost, running on RE85 ethanol fuel available from commercial pumps in Europe.

Well there is -02 body, at least some of it. Don't ask about rear lights, he must like them.

Still plenty of time to change gear four times. Also burnout going to 5th :)

Quite impressive but on third qualifying run S14 DTM block said "Good bye, that's too much for me!!!"

I'm not the biggest fan of maximum boost engines. There's just no sense as that's the inevitable end each time when "too much isn't enough" as they say.

I agree, it's kind of like watching a crack addict who says, "oh, yeah, I use just a little on weekends...."

They can't help it.  There's a local Subie tuning firm that tests at track days- they bring 4 cars, and if one is

running by the end of the day, that's a successful day for them.  But I guess they make it back in knowing just where the limits are...

...not unlike we do with race cars...

These guys obviously have his car sorted out... runs hard and straight...and consistent with a 7.82 and 7.83 to back it up. With a 282kph trap speed... that's 175mph, folks.  Not bad for barn door-like aerodynamics.

Mark me down for a ride in it... just don't turn it too quickly.

Alastaro is a 1/4 mile track and he's pulling the chute at the end of the track.

175mph in the 1/8th would be more like a Pro Stock car making several 1000hp

good question though.
