Don't buy used strut inserts and shocks. Buy Bilstien HDs & a set of H&Rs or go to the Ireland Engineering site and check out their suspension systems. I'm running Billy HDs IE springs & sway bars with negative camber plates and a strut bar. IE also sells a front air dam.

I've had decent luck with used (working) struts as just a starting point but I hear you, I'd be replacing them as my budget allows. Lots of items on the list right now though and you never know who has good equipment laying around after say going to coilovers etc.

I have my 32/36, still on the manifold.  No air filter.  I installed primary shaft bearings (vs the stock bushing) and sync-link on the throttle linkages.  PM me if you're interested.
