Obx Individual Throttle Bodies

Try looking up dBilas. Their ITBs come with an airbox, and are of high quality. I have them on my car, but I sold the air box. I run traditional DCOE Ramflo filters.

I think dBilas ITBs for the M10 are for E30s, but with a little bit of moving things around, the work on the 2002.

obx doesnt really make a ITB suitable for m10 2002's for example dcoe type not available TWM is what you want made in USA. jenvey is pretty awesome as well but made by wankers in england.

you can get the M10 kit from Level X Motorpsports for $1239 + ~$25 shipping... still made by wankers though

Regardless of their masturbatory habits, Jenvey makes some slick hardware, but I am biased in more ways than one.

inkinf - yep, VAG COPs. I use Megasquirt for fuel & spark. I have burned up a couple of the coils despite them being the right part number (revision) according to the megasquirt docs. The coils that have survived all pass the "pins 2 & 3" resistance test as described in the same megasquirt docs, so the resistance test seems to be a more accurate indicator of suitability than the part revision number.

The best info on Megasquirt and VAG/VW coils is here:

OBX itb's they are a cheaper alternative to a dcoe type throttle body. I have seen them used many times and they are well built and a precision part there is not really much to them its not like a carb its just a throttle plate with an injector. I was going that way but found a good set of 50mm Jenvey's  instead.

I notice 130BHP, is that on an otherwise standard 02 engine, I wonder what it would yield on a Tii or similar high comp engine,

Also looking at the inlet it would appear that should the injector holes be threaded you could retain the kuglefischer, albeit with potential lean running issues? Perhaps only at WOT, I wonder if anyone has tried this setup?

The engine is a stage 1 Korman, 292 cam, 9.5:1 comp. More on my dyno session here:

Regarding using throttle bodies with the kfish, a guy named Remco Segger in Spain has done it. He posts frequently on the "BMW 2002" group on facebook. Not sure if this link will work, but here is one of his posts:

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
