New 1975 2002

Picked up this 1975 2002 yesterday. Its in pretty good condition. There is rust on the front corner of the drivers rocker panel and foot wells will need to be replaced in the future. The car runs and drives. But the turn signals, tach, and most interior electrics don't work. All in all I think a pretty good find. Any comments?

In your first picture I thought that was a skunk nosing around your car until I realized it was a small dog (at least I hope it was!)

From your other post it sounds like you have at least some of your electrics working...what isn't?  Let us know so we can offer more specific suggestions.

Haha the dog is quite large actually. About 100 lbs. And the tach and all electrics on the console except hazards button which is unplugged. The interior light isn't. From the pictures can you tell if it has a/c I'm fairly sure it does but not sure what it looks like..

And I found the old California plate in the back of the seat. Was really tempted to bolt it on and go for a drive. If only the blinkers worked...

That's what I'm gonna do. Once I figure out the turn signals its going on the road. And way ahead of you there I did some "detailing" today in the rain with some black spray paint. Didn't go too crazy cuz I didn't want to mess up the trim. But got the sides all painted the hood got some non original black racing stripes

And the a/c is missing a belt in think. It'll need a going over in due time

except hazards button which is unplugged

I believe the turn signals need the hazards button plugged in, in order to function.

My first test drive was a short round trip -- back home to get the button.

I had blinkers for the second test drive.

EDIT:  I see this is already being discussed in your other thread, "Gauge Questions"

Hey everyone. unfortunately I'm back at school away from the girl. Moving forward I think my dad is taking the car to a shop down the road from me and is going to have all of the vin# checked to see if they match on all the points. I think he may get it registered today so keeping my fingers crossed. Looking into the future I was thinking about getting a weber 40 dcoe side drafts. Do these improve the engine? are there anything to look out for when buying one?
