A nightmare why does this thing in the trunk sound louder then ever? And why when I spray starter spray in the carb does it start......... Only to stall immediately?

I have just tried about everything but the mechanical pump .

This is the third one? Please someone make scence of this. I'm lost and I thing my mechanics just put them in for the fun of it?

Cold weather is the only change? No I did not leave the pump on while the engine is not running, I've been in formed three pumps back never to do this and I keep receiving a failed electronic fuel pump.

please take a few deep breaths, and then write a coherent statement of the issue and what tests you have done with pictures and details of your installation so we can attempt to assist you.  your post provides no useful information and just sounds like a rant.  give us something to work with.  the fuel system is pretty darn simple and the odds of you getting three bad pumps in a row are astronomical.  something is wrong with the setup.

If you keep clogging the fuel filter the tank needs to be removed, cleaned and maybe sealed or replaced.  The Carter pumps work great but you can't have any restriction on the inlet side, if you fill the filter with rust and dirt the pump can't pull the fuel through it.

remove tank and clean out.

check and clean screen on bottom of pickup tube

put a filter before the pump.

flush all the fuel lines

change filter in engine compt

ensure all hose clamps and seals are tight in the entire system.

electric pumps are loud when they are not primed and are sucking air.  they get much quieter when they are full of fuel and doing their job.

Kinda strange I use a carter fuel pump on my 76 and I have it mounted in the engine bay right below the area that the battery used to be on the driver side. And the reason is because a lot less noise the engine drownds the sound of electric fuel pump. Dez pull the fuel delivery line off of the carb and see if anything comes out when the pump is running. If your fuel filter is really clogged nothing should be coming out witch would explain the excessive noise the pump is working its ass off.
