WOW!

Off the line and across the pond in 2 days.

Today, it takes weeks.

I suspect a typo.

Cheers!

Yep, I expect it may be April or May instead of March, but that is what Andreas sent me when I inquired about the car.

Na, that was just when the car/keys were handed to Hoffman; not when they arrive Stateside.

'67 1800 Automatic don't know the VIN off the top of my head... Polaris with black/red interior. Sitting for many many years with what I have been told is a bad transmission. The motor does turn over and I've soaked the cylinders with Marvel a few times. I've collected the pedal and brake booster bracket parts for a manual swap. Very very little rust, mainly surface on and in the hood. The last tags show '87. I don't have a title for it. My dad and I need to focus on his 1800TiSA so this one will be sold. If I'm gonna have only one NK in my life that gets all the love....

Over on the Neue Klasse section of the UK '02 Forum we have an 1800TiSA Gallery and pseudo registry going... If you know of any 1800 Ti/SA cars please include them there, hopefully with VIN and pictures and current whereabouts.

From BMW Classic original delivery books...

The BMW 1800 TISA VIN 995183 was manufactured on May 26th, 1965 and delivered on June 21st, 1965 to the BMW importer Hoffman Motors Corp. in New York City (this was common, the name of the dealer was not mentioned in the books, only the general importer which was Hoffman Motors at this time). The original colour was Polaris metallic, paint code 060.

#183 of 200 produced and only sold new to competition license holders. Phil Hill owned one as a daily driver...

Thank you for re-starting the NK Registry. My contribution is a 1970 2000 imported by Max Hoffman in 1969 to a dealer in Lancaster, PA. That dealer had poor service and lost his franchise, and the car was sold to me by Glen Burnie Rolls Royce and BMW in Dec 1969. The only changes to the car, which has lived in 6 US States and one foreign country, are a 320i 5 spd transmission, the Euro grille, halogen lights, an earlier oval grille which improved the looks. The car came with dual headlights and a larger grille. It was in storage for 5 yrs while I was in Iraq, and it is recovering nicely, with only a few quirks. Pix are Oktoberfest 05, except for the 1995 Damage by a Dodge RAM Van. ONLY THE FAINT OF HEART CONSIDER A BMW "TOTALED" IF THE FRAME IS OK.

After several years of screwing around with Photobucket I believe I have it semi-mastered and am finally able to share a pic of the 1967 NK 2000A. This is from the past Summer. Since then I have stripped and buffed the grill back to its original aluminum. More work has been done over this Winter, but this photo will suffice for the Registry. Regards
