Meanwhile on the left coast, Steve J is figuring out how to pack Scheels for a cross country, border-crossing trip.

Anyone know how they chose Sheboygan, WI???

I've ordered black Scheel material from Gerrit at NML depot for these guys.

Kris,

We missed you at Vintagefest!

Very neat project. What a great way to start having all of the paint and bodywork already done. You can just get right on with the build. Check with Ben T, im sure he has a tail light for you.

Cheers,

Martin

Scheels arrived safe and sound from SF thanks to Steve J and his packing prowess. If you ever need to ship yourself via UPS he's your man.

The seats will be black corduroy and vinyl as I don't want a tan/sahara car. The seats are off to New Image in Toronto next week to be redone...they did the seats of my tii as well. I like the guys there, they spend a lot of time working on early Mercedes, BMW and Porsches.

Materials are from Gerritt of NML in Germany.

Finally a bit of an update. My new job has really been cramping my style. Plus we are renovating a house (which will have a ton more garage space). My goal is to drive this to the Vintage so I have had to enlist some outside help with this part of the build. In steps Usic Choi from Total Motor Werkes who's been helping me maintain my tii. His guys will be stripping the wheel wells (which weren't prepped properly) and doing POR15 & chassis coat in the wells plus underbody. Then they will install my Alpina suspension, BBK and restored subframes...rear will be an E30 setup from 2002haus. In the interim I will work on getting the interior sorted out plus sourcing a slew of other bits. At the same time, the 2.5L build will be starting as the short block has arrived. Time to break down the 2.3L donor and send the head out for porting.

Can't wait for more updates Kris! Everything looks good. I spy a USPS Priority Mail box (possibly from BLUNT).

As hard as I tried I couldnt get that EVO block and crank in a flat rate. you should have seen the fedex guy lugging that block up the stairs of the freedom bunker

This is going to be one of those cars that raises the bar. Like a modded Bill Williams car

First time I've ordered anything for an 02 that came on a pallet. For a brief while, I had a hybrid VW Golf with TDi power up front and M power in the back.
