Can feel your outrage and pain. Same thing happened to me in 1990. Really pissed me off because the car was unlocked. They failed to steal anything from me. The police did catch the kids who did it, they'd hit 30 GM cars and stole radios. Mine was the only BMW.

I've have been leaving my car under security cameras and leaving it unlocked, not for long periods of time. Problem is the idiot thieves probably won't realize it's unlocked.

Good thing they didn't steal the mirrior, it's probably worth more than the window. Pricks!!!

that says "it's unlocked idiot". I guess not, it would invite more damage.

Let me know if you need another vent window mechanism. Don't know if they're still available but I have an extra I can give you. I hope to never need more than one spare...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I have two spares of each side. I'd be happy to give you one to help clear out my clutter. If you want it just pay for shipping.

I hate people who do that.

Had my vent window broken by idiots who tried to hotwire the car by pulling the wires from the brake light switch - broke the switch plus broke all of the under dash boards.

Probably realised that they were idiots so then left, stealing my classic German army parka on the way out (by classic I mean old and smelly - it was second hand to me about 10 years before hand).

Pulp Fiction sums it up:

Lance: Still got your Malibu?

Vincent: Aw, man. You know what some f*cker did the other day?

Lance: What?

Vincent: F@cking keyed it.

Lance: Oh, man, that's f@cked up.

Vincent: Tell me about it. I had it in storage for three years, it was out for five days and some d**kless piece of sh*it f_cked with it.

Lance: They should be f_cking killed. No trial, no jury, straight to execution.

Vincent: Boy, I wish I could've caught him doing it. I'd have given anything to catch that @sshole doing it. It'd been worth him doing it just so I could've caught him doing it.

Lance: What a f_cker!

Vincent: What's more chickensh_t than f*cking with a man's automobile? I mean, don't f*ck with another man's vehicle.

Lance: You don't do it.

Vincent: It's just against the rules.

Thanks for the support guys those lines made me laugh out loud.

Andrew I need to look for that valve cover of yours! Does it matter if it says BMW or has the BMW logo instead?
