I'm selling my 1971 BMW 2002 roundie e10 with a 4 speed manual transmission. This a January of 1971 build so it has the more desirable early 2002 style euro bumpers.
Why am I selling? I really bit off more then I can chew - started spending and now i'm certainly upside down on this car and have decided test the waters on selling - alternatively i'll keep it and have some fun.
Unlike when I bought it, it's currently running and has just had some work done on it. It has the original interior, Becker radio with a single speaker.
This car is very much a project, but not a complete basket case either and is worth saving. If you are interested taking on the challenge I've given you a slight head start as I just within the last few months replaced the following:
Engine (1973 BMW m10)
Engine mounts
All new belts
Spark plus
Plug wires
Distributer cap
All new hoses
Transmission
New Transmission mount
Weber carburetor
Brake booster (rebuilt by 2002 ad)
New Brake master Cylinder
New Rear brake lines
Complete rear brake overhaul and the BMW 320 upgrade (all brand new parts)
All new shifter kit...
Overhauled the parking brake with new BMW 2002 turbo cables and the Pain Cain parking brake kit from coupe King
The car has a New Ansa exhaust
Chrome trim
It comes with 2 sets of wheels and tires all in good conditions (5 turbines and 4 steelies with BMW hub caps ). The steelies have brand new tires on them. Currently the turbines are on the car with good tread.
Additionally the car comes with the following spares:
Spare alternator
Spare transmission
Spare Weber carb
Spare starter
Spare intake manifold
Spare fan (ask me why)
Lots of Repair manuals and 2002 history books
New front and rear window seals (not installed)
Other misc spares and parts etc.
(side lights/ license plate lights bulbs)
Needs:
Door and window seals
Paint, body work and rust repair (original color was Colorado - prior owner spray painted it the car to cover its considerable repair needs)
New interior
Suspension overhaul
Front grills (what's on the car now is damaged )
Turn signals not working (they did recently though)
Open to serious offers and trades and unlike others who will tell you they don't want any tire kickers - I say "come and kick them tires" as I'm sure once you do you'll fall in love with this classic as I did.
this may be a stretch, but i have over 10K in the car, - asking $5500. Please call or email with questions
