  1. June 10th, 2013, I was trolling Craigslist for a “02”, I came across this. I had the guy send me some photos, and that was the end of our conversations. After an extensive search for six months, I sealed the deal with him on the 18th of December to fly down to Los Angeles on Friday the 20th to pick up the car and drive it home. Here we are, five years later, 68,365-miles, what an AMAZING adventure. The first photo is from June 10th, 2013. The second photo is me arriving home Saturday at 1:50 in the morning on December 21st. I spent that day driving around the Monterey Peninsula with my dog Emma, taking photos in Pebble Beach, Carmel, and along the ocean in Pacific Grove. The 3rd and 4th photo was taken on Sunday, December 22nd. YEP, the bumpers were off, let the mods begin. Photo number 9 was taken after the fire that I started when I was removing the factory seat mounts. (I almost cried as I surveyed the damage, talk about depression setting in) Photo number 10 is of the rust repair I performed on the front passenger side floor (I fabbed up my own replacement panel) Photos number 11 and 12 where the installation of the power windows and power door locks. I scaled the car back in June to get an idea of the percentages were. The car weighed 2483-pounds with 14-gallons of fuel and me out of the car, it weighes 2722-pounds with me in the car. The remaining photos show the evaluation of “BMNHWY1”
  2. If y'all rather take a drive on "New Years Day" then sit at home, come join the "Monterey Bay Area 2002" guys for back road cruise through San Benito-Monterey County. Hwy 1 is pretty spectacular this time of year..........
  3. Still working out the start time to start our "New Years Day" drive, (Meet at 7:30am, leave at 8:00), but the starting location will be behind the Chevron Station, at the corner of Nash Road and Hwy 25 in Hollister. The route will consist of taking Hwy 25 South towards King City.North on Hwy 101 to Jolon Road towards Nacimiento Lake. West on Nascimento/Ferguson Road to Hwy 1.North on Hwy 1, with our final destination at Baja Cantina in Carmel. With no stops, it's 172-miles, just over 4-hours from the Chevron Station parking lot to the "Baja Cantina Restaurant", off of Camel Valley Road, Carmel. I have the route mapped out, when I tried to attach it, it would not. PM me if you would like it sent to you. PM me with y'all would like to join........
  4. I would be more worried about popping rear ends. ?
  5. 7" is about the widest y'all gonna fit in the front, et25
  6. I’m running 215/45/17’s et25 on the rears with just rolling the lips, no pull....
  7. I'm running 215/45's in the rear, 209 whp. I popped a 3.64 several months back, (open diff), I had 205's on it at that time. What size tires are you running...............?
  8. I'm at sea level, running the S14 also. For the driving I do, the 3.64's made much more sense, less stress on everything running the taller gear. I could see tearing up more stuff running a 3.91 with the amount of hp's being produced from the S14. Less ware and tear................
  9. I can tell you with my "75", without me in the car, it's 2482 pounds. But that's with a 20-gallon fuel cell with 14-gallons of fuel a the S14, Zender front spoiler and early chrome bumper in the rear (no front bumper)
  10. I use this filters https://www.knfilters.com/oil-filters/hp-1002-oil-filter?pkid=6165728&rw=1 K&N HP-1002 Oil Filter
  11. If anyone is interested in a drive tomorrow, meet in Hollister, and drive Hwy 25 South towards King City. AWESOME road, air quality may be a bit better.....
  12. Here is the route that Eric Friis laid out for our “SoCal” drive.....
  13. 8-1/2” wide et25 215/45’s on the back with rolled lips, still have decent clearance, no rubbing. 7” wide et25 195/45’s I test fitted 225/45’s on the back, it cleared, but I need to pull the coil out and have the rear trailing arm go through travel, to see if they’ll actually not gonna rub.
  14. I'm a little over 209hp to the rear wheels with my S14 build, with a bit 18,000-miles since Dec 12th, 2017........
  15. I can tell you 8-1/2" wide, et25 will fit on the rear for sure with rolled lips. 7" wide in the front with rolled lips, and you'll still get some rub on the fender on compression. I can't see 9" wide rims fitting without cutting.....
