  1. Actually that would be a good start for me. Tired of not having a fender on it and displaying my complete pos to the world. What would think shipping to... 84088 would be?
  2. How long did it take? Haven't pulled one on these without the subframe attached.
  3. Hmm not sure how I didn't get the notification about this. Are the Zender fronts pretty much the same as the IE?
  4. Those seem to be my worst spots... then the two spots on the bottom of the nose for some reason. I know I overpaid for the car... hopefully it will be good.
  5. Wow yeah I've always been afraid of that happening. It probably would happen on my 02 if I didn't lift it from the frame rails and rear subframe.
  6. Good to know... advice not followed. At least it's not driving around in salt. That last picture of the Verona though...looks like mine.
  7. At least it's easy to do maybe an hour and a half to have it on a stand? Good work on taking pictures. Sucks, but you'll be much more intimate with your engine this time. Also my whole point to the brake fluid smoke thing is that an engine rebuild and smoking was mentioned, and I did not see anything internal-engine related in the "broad range of suggested issues" mentioned earlier. Maybe I missed it though. But it doesn't matter. Don't go chasing waterfalls... Enjoy your mistake. We all do it and at least the second or third time around we know it's done right.
  8. Alright that's fair. Is that somehow common on these? I just thought it interesting to mention as a possible cause right after an engine rebuild.
  9. Whatever is past the usable powerband in my opinion. While I suspect you do have an issue, you'll be surprised at how long residual oil will burn for. Go for a spirited drive this weekend and see how she does.
  10. Don't push it too hard. But don't baby it. Drive it like you will. It promotes better ring sealing.
  11. drive it hard and see what it does. Gentle breaking in leads to a...lesser engine. I would suspect valve seals or a vacuum line hooked up incorrectly! edit: not sure why brake fluid was mentioned as a possible cause... but if your smoke has a blue tint to it, it's oil.
  12. Uh hmm. I have yet to decide. 15" bassett racing wheels and tires... or bite the bullet and get some IE box flares. Or finally get a DSLR camera.
  13. Starting my search for some IE box flares (or other if it's a full set). Just seeing if anyone has a set or pieces they've had laying around for awhile and would rather sell them (and so I can help out a FAQ member too!). Need the front and rear panels, but if you only have half etc. let me know. Will likely have to ship too unless you're located in UT. Thanks! -Mike Location: Salt Lake City, UT, USA
  14. Rob! Not sure where they got it from, or how they knew... but my parents put this under their Christmas tree for me. Look forward to reading it Thanks Rob.
  15. Just stare at it long enough... it starts to grow on you.
  16. I know it looks off... but it's stock height without flares.
  17. Of course, I meant soldering wires together...not connectors. The "butt splices" I believe.... no home for those here.
  18. Here's my opinion... if you make it yourself, do a good job. no crimp connectors here. use proper soldering/heat shrink techniques. route it cleanly and use the proper loom. Otherwise, get one pre-made. Fortunately for me, nearly zero of the circuits work... so I could just rip everything out and start over. no emissions stuff to worry about either.
  19. I'll have to look at the covers on my 500's on the truck, but if I remember correctly, it's raised lettering. a suggestion if that's the case is to either find some flat ones that will fit or mill down the surface. Either way, once it's flat I'd probably just have some vinyl/stickers made to fit.
