  1. I installed a TEP header on my E21. It's cheap and works good as far as the performance aspect goes, but fitment is terrible. It extends down to only a few inches off the ground before the collector.
  2. Looking for a Nardi horn button (same as pictured in ebay item) But i don't want one with a crack, since mine recently died due to a crack that grew over time with each use.... Anyone have one, or know of a good source? Thanks in advance, Trevor '>http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nardi-Personal-BMW-e9-e10-e12-e21-e23-e24-e28-e31-Steering-Wheel-Horn-Button-/250941650528?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item3a6d49b660 But i don't want one with a crack, since mine recently died due to a crack that grew over time with each use.... 3. No difference, they all come out to the same 88 E32... Has anyone else had this same problem before?
  4. When i look up the vin on realoem, it comes up with an E32?? coded ZA, right hand drive 1988 735i Chassis, dash, and motor all match...
  5. I Think i might actually make it again! not bringing the blondie this time though (my friend's Nevada 71' which dominated most of the pics from the 07' event was totaled by a ford explorer back in 09'... sad day.) Bringing the 73' tii
  6. A rivet sounds like a good idea to me if you don't want to weld. Just make sure they are SS, and that you get the bracket to pull tight to the door pillar, so it doesn't snap back and forth when you open/close the door. by the way- i have a little MIG welder if you want to borrow it...
  7. Some cheap oil filters will do that in cold weather with thick oil...
  8. The old metal deteriorates after 30 years of vibration and expanding/contracting. It can definitely degrade your mileage, but 12 is pretty bad... What year is your car? if you don't have to worry about smog, just remove all that crap and get a performance header. Otherwise, i have the entire system from a 78' 320i in perfect shape...
  9. Never thought about straining the coolant, some cummins diesels i work on have coolant filters, but on cars, normally a good flush with a garden hose does good for me. Thanks for sharing.
  10. It is hard to adjust it in the cam lobe because it gets pinched easily. you can get it in all of the eccentrics, you just have to bend the feeler gauge a bit for the ones in the corners.
  11. There's been really slim pickings ever since they added the online inventory... Its even getting hard to find stuff for my E21.
  12. That looks like Pinehurst near Skyline??? Love that area, grew up in Kensington. And your other car is... another BMW, early '90s. Love the swingin' keys! Oh and that's a yes on +1 for Jason's cemetery video.... Actually, that was on the way to Pipi valley up past Pioneer, on hwy 88 for a camping trip with a couple other E21 friends. (the other BMW key is to my 82' 320i which is MIA because I'm in the process of a motor rebuild....)
  13. You just need a nice wood steering wheel to finish that interior!
  14. Ok- how about a cemetery shot? But the rule is you have to take it at an old cemetery- with the classical crosses and faded marble! Have fun
  15. 165-70-13 are still available, but you have to shop around. most local shops can order them within a day or 2, i currently run them on my E21. I used to run 205's because they look a lot better but I ended up preferring how the 165's fill the wheel well better. If you have the money, i would recommend upgrading your wheels to at least 14" (they came stock with 14's) and you will have many more tire options.
  16. i have a 73 tii but it doesn't look anything like your pic... although it is a non A/C console.
  17. Ok, that makes sense because i was confused when i saw the intake piece for a regular 02 on the right side.
  18. Yeah, it got in an accident on the front end... not sure the story behind that... I think its easily repairable, doesn't need a new nose. Definitely planning on stripping it down, fixing the rust, and getting it repainted. once i finish the motor in my E21 and get her back on the road, anyway. I've wanted a tii for a long time, don't think i would let this one go after I get her the way i want
  19. Normally that is caused by air in the calipers. Are you using a pressure bleeder or a helper pumping the pedal? Are you losing brake fluid while driving? Is the steering wheel shimmying at the same time? that would be indicative of warped rotors.
  20. Sorry, just venting my frustration. more pics... [/img]
