  10. https://goldcountry.craigslist.org/pts/d/pioneer-1972-bmw-2002tii-part-out/6804024490.html The 72' is getting chopped up for parts. Some steel I am keeping for my projects. Can ship if desired. Ask for part, make an offer. I accept cash or paypal. Has good front inner fenders, good sunroof, good sills and firewall except a small piece from driver's side i am using for myself. I stole the nose for my 73. The one off that car is basically worthless. This parts car was hit in the rear straight on, so trunk and fuel tank are worthless. I do have lots of trim, some ok, some bent and dented. good rear windshield and pop outs. I do have 2 somewhat rusty doors (complete) a rusty hood, 3 rusty fenders, and a rusty trunk lid that can be had for dirt cheap for local pickup only. Steering column is complete in good condition, with key. front and rear subframes are in good condition. 17mm sway bars front and rear. heater core/unit complete and fan intact. All cables and dampers intact. Thanks Trevor VIN is 2761637 I was planning to keep the engine for my E21... Driver's frame rail is claimed for my project. Rear bumper is from my 73' I don't think I have two sill covers to spare. I will have to dig around. Front struts are sold, rear trailing arms sold. Wheels are sold. washer bottle sold.
  11. So I just picked up a 73' that turns out has a solex 2 barrel carb. after searching online, it seems there is some info about a solex 32/36. I am used to the weber 32/36. So I couldn't get the secondary to open on it's own. it seems to operate on some sort of vacuum port? I removed the diaphragm housing, blew out the port, it's clear. still nothing, so I attached a spring to the secondary lever so it will open once the primary is fully open. test drove it, soo much better. what am I missing here? could anyone shed some light on how it is supposed to work? I can't find anything online.
  12. As far as the nose is concerned, mine was in an accident, got "straightened" with a sledgehammer by a PO. Also has a huge rust hole under the radiator. It's not even a tii nose, as much as i would love to get one, i'm just looking for something better than mine for a reasonable price.
  13. My trunk lid and hood are heavily rusted out due to PO applying fiberglass in frame areas- not really worth fixing. looking for better replacements. Local is better, not looking to pay shipping.
  14. Thank you for your input. Definitely changed my mind just due to the work required on the rear. Maybe I will just buy replacement fenders. They actually aren't too expensive.
  15. I've been searching around for replacement front fenders, trunk, and hood for my 73. Mine are so rusted out, and I hate bondo. (old bondo falling apart everywhere on this car) Since Fiberglass is about the same as NOS shipped from Germany, I'm considering using the IE parts. I'm not too familiar with the box flares, I was wondering is anyone else has installed the IE flares on their car? I'm not much of a body work guy, but I've got all the welding and cutting equipment and experience necessary to do the job. I just wanted to know how much work is involved, since the rear arches are actually in great shape. How much cutting of the rear fenders is required? are box flares supposed to be installed directly on top with some cutting, or do they entirely replace the original steel? Should the front fiberglass be able to install directly in place of the original fenders? Thanks Trevor
