  1. And I thought I was the only 2002 owner with a black widow problem!
  2. I'll keep the vin handy in case anyone calls for parts for that same vin.
  3. Hey that';s terrible I;m sorry at least its a lot easier to find a 2002 than most of any other cars usually stolen. Hope they find it!
  4. I would suppose they would be offering american dollars would be pretty weird to go offer another local currency at a foreign country.
  5. I have bremi on my M20 E21 no problems at all.
  6. Happened to me on the 4th day since buying my car!
  7. Yeah that's info I have....I wonder what the heck is the 594 for.
  8. Hi guys I bumped into this odd problem...I'm turning my 2002 back to non tii since the conversion was poorly done and the fuel injection was busted. I was about to assemble everything back when I noticed that the regular 2002 "cone style" pulley won't fit. Internal diameter as well as the place for the woodruff key are smaller. I see on my the catalogs I have that the correct part number is: 11 23 1 253 595 which superceeded to the 11 21 1 270 193. Now I just read the number on the pulley I'm trying to install and it says: 11 23 1 253 594. What the hell is this pulley from anyone got any idea? It's not on any of the BMW catalogs I have. If you can shed some light on the topic I would be glad! Thanks!
  9. Well looking at the diagrams the do come up to the pedal box but I can't tell exactly how much. If you want to see the diagram please give me your email and I'll forward it to you. Konrad.
  10. Hopefully later today or tomorrow I'll have an answer!
  11. Rock auto is real nice but I've had some problems with them lately ordering parts for my Ford and my father's Chevrolet getting the wrong parts and sometimes sky high fees for shipping of little parts if they have to come from diff warehouses. That aside I love the place, not really my place for euro parts but real nice.
  12. I would say safety switch if auto or the ignition switch.
  13. Doesn't look THAT but look in other places as well. I recall I focused a lot on the regular rust spots when I purchased my 2002 like those shock towers which are in great shape on mine and overlooked some other places where rust flourished 10 months later.
  14. E21's and other BMW E12's even M1 have this same switch design its a pain I know! Sometimes you will get calls from your neighboors saying the "alarm" is on or you are at a party and someone comes with stories about your car having life of its own. I had mine with a piece of paper wedged in till I ventures to dismantle. -Pry it open -Careful with the spring! -Bend the metal arm a bit towards the track. -Reassemble exactly as it was taking care the spring doesn't touch the contacts. If the spring touches the contacts you are going to have a nice smoke fest....not nice when it happened on my E21 and smoke started coming out of the top grille in the dash. If all fails I can get you a new switch
  15. We can source floor pans but to be honest can't remember if they went that high let me check and get back.
  16. I would go with the original bushings but that's just a personal taste. I don't like the stiffer ones. If you want to you can call me and I'll quote you the set. Cheers!
  17. Well at least newer grilles are available the early ones I need are on eternal back order agh.
  18. Yeap you can do that with no problem!
  19. If interested I can get you the original studs.
  20. Hmmm I say leave it stock if its stock enough already. Now I want to paint my car again in its original colorado color.
  21. My car has a 74" grille and its a 1970 terrible fit I need to get my hands on some metal ones. The plastic ones on the older nose don't even go all the way around, completely different shape.
  22. Its a shame I'm on the same spot as you previous owner just sprayed on top of rust in my case. Well I had some bubbling and I started to peel the paint and turns out the rust though superficial, is all over the place below the areas that looked healthy. I'm taking my power tools and working on it going to prime it and leave it alone while I work on the engine. So guess what I'm saying is this happens a lot with these cars happened to me too with the 730 and yours is not the worst I've seen. Best luck!
  23. Ok I double checked we only have the green one price is $269.42 + $100 shipping to any place in the US. We can get it to you in a bit less than a week.
