  1. Moving day. Heading to Bimmer Motor Werks. The two kids got to spend a little time together. I also delivered a car full of new and used parts to Aleks. He's going to get working on everything this week. I'm sure it will be a couple weeks before I see any real progress. He's doing most of the work himself.
  2. Just got my car out of paint, and somehow they have managed to lose the hood hinges. Anyone have a set they can ship to 84101? Car is a 76 if it matters. I'm also looking for the tension bar and springs etc that keep the hood open. Not as critical obviously, but if anyone has it let me know. Thanks!
  3. Are the hood hinges still available? How much shipped to 84101?
  4. Stopped by a few days ago and they had it all shiny. Turns out inka is sort of a hard color to photograph. None of the pictures really do the color justice. Stopped by again today and they had the flares and side skirts on. Super stoked to see it all together again. There is a minor fitment issue with the rear drivers side tire. For some reason it is no longer centered front to back on the flare. I'm note sure if they put the flare on weird, or if maybe my subframe shifted... It does have adjustable camber and caster. Would that effect it?
  5. Looking great! I can't wait to see this come together...
  6. My first car was a 67 122S. Never seen a wagon before. Very cool.
  7. More updates in the blog section. Finish paint and wet sanding...

  9. I know that Curtis runs 15x8 0ET's with turbo flares with 205/50 up front and 225/50 in the rear on his M20 Turbo. Based on that I went with 16x0 ET0 on my flared car. Running 225/50 in the back and 205/50 in the back. Full coil overs all around, dialed fairly low. My rears are almost dialed all the way down. I accidentally had the 225's up front at first and it was rubbing on the flare in the front, 205's just clear. Of course I had to do a lot of clearancing in the inner fender/ floor area.
  10. Updates here. http://www.bmw2002faq.com/blog/2-m20-build/ Inka paint going on...
  11. Nice! Looking good. Agreed on the big wheels and flares. Makes my pants tight every time I see one. Looking forward to see how your cars turns out.
  12. Gahhh, that's absolutely gorgeous. Emailing him now...
  13. Thanks. And yes, yes it is.
  14. I like the dual headlights, but I'm biased....
  15. Those mason ones look amazing. IE does have one that they market specifically for the M20 swapped car. Not sure how it compares to others as far as quality / effectiveness. http://www.iemotorsport.com/bmw/2002-suspension-steering/02sbm2.html
  16. Good to know. I didn't see pricing on their website. Do you mind sharing how much it cost? did you provide a core?

    Primed!

Thanks Steve! I'm getting excited to see it finally come together.

    Primed!

Final primer is on. They'll wet sand it, then do two coats of finish paint, then another light wet sand and it should be ready for assembly.
