  1. I have two sets of front bumper corners. Both are daily driver quality. $25.00 for each set + shipping. All chrome set: Rubber strip set:
  2. I have this left over from an abandoned project. Convert your single piston front brakes to e21. Rebuilt calipers (from Advance), new master cylinder, grommets, pads & hardware (pretty sure they are for these) & the old tank for parts or whatever. $75.00 including shipping to the lower 48. thanks.
  3. Did you get a box? If not I have one for a mechanical clutch that the pedal stop (clutch & unique to mech. box) broke off. Might work for you seeing it will be modified. Box has been cleaned and POR 15 painted. $50.00 shipped. can get pictures if interested. Tim
  4. Brian, The master I have goes on the booster not on the pedal box. I may be sending you the wrong stuff. The 68 1600 I had it was on the booster as well. I will hold on shipping until we figure it out, the pictures will definetely help. Tim
  5. Let me know if you want to go the e21 route I have the master, grommets and calipers (rebuilds from Advance) sitting on the shelf. I had a 68 I was going to redo but realized it was too far gone and junked it. Don't need the stuff any longer. Tim
  6. Are they all black or is there a color choice?
  7. I have started looking around for engine options since my head gasket let go on my trip to Road America a few weeks ago and blew coolant all over and overheated. I have decided not to deal with the tired old 1600 engine and move on. I ran across this http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/cto/3231699181.html It sounds like a 320is (recaros). With the engine and all would this make sense? I know the shocks & springs won't work (already have anyway) how about strut braces and sway bars? Even so I could probably sell off most and still have the drive train and engine for a good price??????? Or go for the M42? Thanks Tim
  8. Where does the purple wire go to in the fog light harness kit from rally lights? Either it came without instructions or I lost them. The wire goes to the switch, is this power for the light in the switch? Does it go to constant power? Any help appreciated. I do not want to mess anything up! Thanks in advance.
  9. Drivers side are for the mechanical clutch hardware.
  10. The ones I got are not the bulge type. Are these the correct type I should have? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/GOR-91137/?rtype=10 I will order these today if they are. thanks in advance.
  11. I did not find a lot on special torque required on the Italian car web sites where these wheels are more common. lots on how to refinish them for your Ferrari though.
  12. The tire shop told me to get m12x1.50 acorn nuts. I got them at autozone and they seem to fit well. I will find out shortly I guess.
  13. I am ready to do a test run with the car and am wondering what I should torque the wheels to? Is there a standard torque for alloy wheels such as Cromodoras? Thanks in advance.
  14. Blunt I spotted that one also - do you know anything of that car? Looks pretty nice.
  15. I finally got everything ready to see if it will start after my preservation campaign (started last fall). Poured some gas in the carb and it fired right up, after third time it pulled from the tank and ran smoooooth. About a minute later it started smoking like hell at the back of the engine so I shut it off. Thought the dist. housing was leaking but no, so the question is: Does the new gasket I put in at the down pipe/manifold have to "burn off" or something? I recall it being like cardboard. It is the only thing I can think of right now, especially seeing that it happen so soon. TIA Tim
  16. Well it went in on the second try. The first I used an el cheapo engine leveler from HF. It would not tilt far enough and the hoist went to its full extent. Gave up on that and just used chain and slowly dropped it in. Got the shifter re-installed, the drive shaft aligned and all secured. All was good until the morning when I found a puddle of transmission fluid on the floor! The thing never leaked before. Well, I guess I will learn to swap out just the transmission after all (have another one in the basement).
  17. I am getting the engine/tranny ready to drop in from the top. Can it be installed with the shifter as is and guide it from below, up into the tunnel hole or should it be removed? I plan on getting an engine leveler to help. I thought this would be an easy one to find with a search as most of my questions have been. Might be I am just not thinking hard enough.
  18. Try this thread: http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,50/page,viewtopic/t,348968/highlight,/
  19. They have not made it to my house yet and when they do all they will photograph is my wifes SUV sitting in the driveway so the 1600 can be comfy in the garage.
  20. I forgot to take a picture of the safety wire at the bottom of the struts and wondering if anyone has a photo of the way the factory did it? I searched and only found some diagrams, but on the BMW bolt the wire hole is above the head and seem like it would be a little different wiring. A photo sure would help me out. Thanks in advance

  22. I think my wife would like to tell Craig to shove his list! Then I would not bother her with "look a 1965 land rover for only $900.00 and not in too bad a shape!" (two days ago and it did not last the day) or "check this out a Fiat 850 just down the road" (yesterday)...............Gotta go, something new is sure to be listed........
  23. Thanks Andrew, I totally forgot that some of the old stereos you can hook up a MP3 player to. I like your setup and will probably go that route. I guess I need to research stereo setups next! Thanks
  24. My car is getting close to dynamat time. I have been thinking about a future stereo system and what I should run now under the carpet. My thoughts are: I like the look of the original, so I am looking at this system for the future http://vintagevibes.net/Stereos/secretaudio.htm and mount it in the trunk. Most of my music would be on a usb stick and i would not mind opening the lid to remove because they can fit a lot. I also like the small rf remote. Has anyone used this unit? For speakers I would put two under the dash. I know this is not great acoustically but I am more concerned with it not being seen. The back shelf I have been leaning toward cutting in speakers that mount flush, cut the board and then recover the whole thing with speaker fabric for a flush look albeit not original fabric. Has anyone done this and if so a picture would be much appreciated? I have done some searching but have not found too much. Any other thoughts on hiding a system? I would like to get as much planned right up front.
