  1. Awwww, if I didn't have to sell my car I would look into that. If its what they claim, that is a really good bargain.
  2. The description makes it sound like there could be a lot of goodies hidden away in that garage...
  3. Wish I could be there! Sleeping in my own car, of course! lol. Have fun!
  4. Okay, thats it. I've seen 'em and know what I want in my next '02. Those are ridiculously awesome!
  5. Its gorgeous, but I'm with Esty. At that price, it should have the right door cards and seats. I'm offering the right door cards and a set of late model door cards for 1/3 of that price. lol. I do wish my car were as pretty, though.
  6. Looks great! I'm excited for you and glad to help out when my schedule permits. Just shoot me an email when you need some extra hands to do some wrenchin'.
  7. Late on this one, but just saw the post- I like it. 8. Jim, thanks for posting the pics. Thas was a great day! BMW or not, I'm still showin' up at the '02 events!

  10. Not sure what its from, but it looks like to previous owner made it. It is painted and seems pretty basic. I like it, so never took it off. :-)
  11. I have more pics available via email if you're interested -John
  12. Marshall, don't you have room for another car? Front yard or neighbors yard, maybe? My car is worth building a second workshop for. :-)
  13. I have two functional tachs and a $20 debt. ;-) Still can't figure out why I can't get the tach to work when installed, though. I also need to get the timing adjusted. The mechanic that I paid to install and adjust everything might have bailed on the adjustment aspect...otherwise, its still a strong runner. Might be able to use some help if you're interested. :-)
  14. have a '73 finished in Chamonix with Marine Blue interior. I need the cash for my business, so I must sell. I have spent a lot of money on the car without ever considering selling the vehicle. Had I known that I would sell the car, I would not have invested so much. I paid top dollar for the best parts and accessories I could find. a few details: *Restored E21 Recaros with perforated seating surfaces. Seats are mint! *Period correct Cibie Super Oscars *New Carpet- not installed *New Blue/white Coco Mats *Refinished Momo mesh style 14" wheels. Finished in BMW Carbon Black *New tires *New Urethane sway bar bushings installed *New Bilstein sports installed in the rear of car *New Bilsteins sports for front- not installed *New Bavarian autosport springs- not installed *New front + rear urethane bushings- not installed *New Wheel bearings- not installed *New Kidney grille *New Center link and control arms- not installed *Almost mint door panels with new chrome strips from aardvark- not installed *Nardi wood wheel *Nardi shift knob *New Battery *Rebuilt top end of engine *Chrome Valve cover and various other chrome engine pieces *New Hella lights *Alpine and JL Audio stereo installed *Weber 38/38 *New plugs, wires, IE electronic ignition/distributor Lots of other work completed, but not listed. Many other new and spare parts not listed. Car was rust free when I bought in in CA, but some surface rust has appeared around paint flaws. The rust is so minimal, that I probably didnt need to mention it. I've spent about $14K on purchasing the car, service, parts, etc. This car is solid. I'm asking $8,000, but glad to discuss any offers. Please email me for further info at xlittlejohnx @ yahoo Again, can't believe I'm doing this. Sad day. :-( MUST SELL!!!
  15. The Bronco is beyond bad ass! Looks like it has those lights with the smiley face covers, love it! Gotta get me one!
  16. Jim, funny you should post this. We are going to Williamsburg in April thanks to a friend that can't use his timeshare. Also, my neighbor thought he could trump my 02 by picking up a '65 289 automatic from Texas. Its a gorgeous hard top with little to no rust. I'll get pics next time he has it out. His car is nice, but trump me, I think not! BTW, great pics!
  17. Did you notice the condition of hood an trunk? I wanted to make it up there, but have been out of town since the post. I'm back and want to make the drive if the panels are in good shape. Its hard to tell in the pics, but they look to have the typical rust under the trim. Thanks!
  18. Too bad I just saw your post. I was down on Mount Vernon Ave (drivin the 02) today and would have stopped by to check out the new car. Hope you're enjoying it!
  19. I can introduce you to a friend that manages Yates Sunoco at Braddock and Mount Vernon Ave. They don't do inspections, but he uses a guy in Old Town that won't notice.
  20. Well, I have to buy a really expensive piece of equipment for my business. This vehicle is gonna run me around $200,000, so I want to make sure I buy the best unit available. Especially considering that I might have to let the 02 go in order to have extra cash on hand. The cab choices are an International Harvester DuraStar 4300LP or a Hino 258LP. Does anyone have experience with either vehicle? The Hino is a Toyota product, which has me interested for reliability reasons. Anyway, I don't know much about this type of truck and I value the opinions and mechanical knowledge of everyone here, so any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance -John
