  1. My car hobby includes detailing, and for a number of years I have been going with Optimum No Rinse... it has been revolutionary. It safely (with the right technique) removes loose dirt off the car with just two buckets of water and no need to rinse... which makes it easy to do in a garage, apartment complex, wherever, you don't waste so much water and you don't drench these old rust prone cars with water. check this link: http://www.detailedimage.com/Ask-a-Pro/wash-and-wax-in-60-minutes-featuring-optimum-no-rinse/ However, when a car is super soiled or I want to strip the wax off the car to clay bar/polish/re-seal, I'll get out the foam gun attachment to my hose and use Chemical guy's Citrus Wash and Clear. Hope that helps
  2. dang second in line... can paypal instantly... email me here or blakebris@gmail.com

  4. Google is your friend. http://local.yahoo.com/info-20411285-pete-s-auto-top-upholstery-los-angeles http://showmelocal.dailynews.com/profile.aspx?bid=5017515
  5. Btw Pete is an older man and will be retiring by the end of the year...
  6. I just visiting a lot of upholstery shops in the area and felt most comfortable with Pete's Auto Top and Upholstery on Pico. They were recommended by veteran (the place that supplies all la upholsterers with material) and his prices are in the middle between super cheap and mucho expensive. New Life Upholstery on Venice also does good work, but the guy there came across as a bit of a jerk to be honest and his prices were on the higher end. On the lower price end, veteran vouched for sosa's upholstery, who does their own cars and quoted me a very very cheap rate.
  7. Get my email? If sale falls through Im ready
  8. I must admit I'm jealous as he (jj interiors) was my first choice after seeing his wonderful work, but after one email and three voicemails ignored over a few weeks time and I decided I'd have to move on - i understand he's busy but I don't have time to hunt someone down. His work does look excellent though, and I have a feeling he's more reasonable than the talented upholsterers of LA. Anyone had experience with aardvark's upholstery work? I'm thinking of using them for at least doorcards and perhaps recovering my scheel seats I bought on eBay
  9. Who did the work? I need to reupholster my seats in the la area - happy with the job??
  10. i called the lady, she is selling them for a friend. Says they are in perfect shape, still has the original boxes. They look to be the expert series seat. I offered 1500 and she accepted, though I went a different direction so didn't take them obviously. Is a good deal!
  11. Is this still going to production? Just bought these scheels http://www.ebay.com/itm/260973602527?_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649&item=260973602527&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWNX:IT&vxp=mtr#ht_500wt_1337 and could use some prefabbed rails! --Blake

Might be interested in both door cards front and rear and can pick up, but not at that price - it's the same as freshly recovered cards from aardvarc...
  13. I need these seats! Let me know if there's any way to buy outright Blakebris@gmail.com
  14. interested in scheel seat and can pick up... just would have to find a matching seat - what model scheel is that? -Blake
  15. are they for sale? Looking for a set and could pick up.
  16. Got the car back from Andy and am very happy with his work. You can check pics of the car below or stop by A1 imports to check the car out in person. click the links for pics! here
  17. Update!! The car has been painted, completed in less than a month by Andy Schank in Richmond. I have heard mixed reviews of him here on the forums, but can recommend him - he did a stand out job on 'Daisy' click the links for pics! here [/img]
  18. Also saw your car over at JP's - JP is truely a good mechanic and more importantly a great guy. Hope to see you around with Kai!
  19. my car is currently @ Andy's so I will report back with my experiences. JP has used him satisfactorily before, and he's been doing restoration type jobs for awhile - a big reason I went with him. In a nutshell, I loathe working with body shops - they are expensive, never get the work done on time, rush everything and half the time dont do the work right. My last experience was a year in the shop and an unsatisfactory paint job (for what I paid). Andy is reasonable and a one man shop - he only takes one car at a time and thus can pay sole attention to your car and gets it done in a very timely manner. Being a small one man shop, he kind of likes to do what he's comfortable with/wants to do.
  20. Blog Updated! Car is stripped and at Andy Schank's for paint m20 has been disassembled and is @ Terry Tinney's machine shop as it undergoes its rebuild with an s50 crank and some higher compression pistons.
