  1. Here are pics of the seats, are they early model E24's?
  2. Can someone tell me what's different about these and will they bolt up to the 2002 seat frame the same as e21's? Thanx
  3. Update? More pictures please. some of the rear suspension setup from in the trunk.
  4. Looking at doing this for my trim around the windows and doors and possibly the door handles. Any concerns with this product? If anyone has used it, what is better, spray or dip style? Does it dry smooth? What ate the prep procedures? TIA, Dane
  5. I'm wondering the same thing. Eventually I will have a turbo and 5 speed and want the best ratio for hwy and light track use. What do you all think I should go for?
  6. So basically what I want is a 15x8 setup that will completely fill turbo flares. The htn rennsports are nice but pricey. OG San's are nice and the width is there but I don't know the offset. ET0 is what I've heard will fill the turbo flares but I don't know where to look for nice wheels with this offset. Thoughts
  7. I didnt find the info I was looking for. How would a wheel with the offset of ~5 inches look on the 2002's? Im looking at a set of 15X7's and the pictures I have seen of them (tires mounted) had backspacing of ~5 5/8. A closer picture of the measurement from lip of rim to top of tire was 5/8's, which would put the backspacing at ~5 inches, right? IE's tech article says the 02 works best with 4.75 in of back spacing. The catch is, I wanna flare my car in one way or another (not decided on the flare yet) and want to know if this back spacing will fill up a flare (other than the pig cheeks or alpina's) Will they stick out past the metal enough to need flared or whould I look elsewhere for wheels?
  8. panasports are similar to the minilites, right? I'm trying to be different and it seems that a lot of people are running that style. They are nice but not the look I'm going for
  9. Not looking to break the bank with authentic bbs 2 pc wheels. I'm kinda in a budget
  10. Ok, so I should stick to the plan if getting a set of wheels that are known to fit? Ideally I'm looking for a set of 15x7-8 fr and rear, that arent alpina reps or minilites, with a bit of lip in the right offset.
  11. So will these be a good buy at 300? And what is needed to make them wider?
  12. There are some for sale local to me and am wondering what the offset of these are? They came off an e21 and the guy tried to install on e30 but they hit the calipers. Can 225's fit on these and not look ridiculous?
  13. payment sent. Please send them to the paypal address listed in the email. Thanks! Dane K
  14. ive been looking at the rennsports for about a year deciding if I wana be different to the tune of ~1800 before shipping. Those works look nice too but do they come in 15's The first HTN wheel is a 17 and that is its only downfall (in my eyes)
  15. awesome, thanks for the link. The project is coming VERY slowly, as I only get about 5 hours a week to work on it. Until I get more time, it will be one section at a time, like toe front subframe. The head is done and man it looks really nice. I decided to take a break on the engine (as it will consume all my money) and focus more on getting the car ready for the power it will have. So that means suspension brakes and chassis work, along with diff and 5 speed.
  16. Those were the ones that I thought would release it,m thanks got it apart. Now, upon reinstallation, is there a specific torque for the nut that holds the hub and disc on?
  17. Im rebuilding my front subframe and have removed everything from the subframe but now I cant seem to get the strut apart from the control arm. the ball joints are original (rivited on) and I noticed 3 14mm studs from the steering arm to where the ball joints go. The brake discs and hubs are still attached to the strut if this makes a difference. Please help as I would like to have these parts off by the time my parts arrive for the rebuild process.
  18. ok, I will check realoem for the lengths. Any input on the MC from the 7 series? thanks for the input everyone. Anything else I have to look forward to? any snags or things to look out for? What about the single line conversion?
  19. I need to replace all the hard lines on the car, what size do I need and how many feet? Now I plan on getting a bbk in the future and if it is better to only run single lines, let me know now so I dont buy more brake line than I really need. Also if I go single line with the stock booster, should I replace the MC with the 7 series that I have seen talked about? If so what year 7 did it come from. The car isnt running right now so it'll be a while before I get the brakes but since Im replacing the motor and cleaning the engine bay (and every other ares as well) I wanted to buy the brake line and fittings. Any thoughts/suggestions on size of line and fittings or specific type of hard line. Im not restoring the car and will be getting a roll of brake line, just need to know the questions asked above. Thanks everyone, Dane
  20. I was gonna buy the front and rear kits from IE but I didnt think this covered all the bushings? Also gonna get the steering coupler from them. Just dont want to miss anything when I place my order.
  21. I have the front subframe off for my project (with all suspension still attached) and want to know all the bushings that are associated with it? I want to replace all of them with poly and the sway bar with IE's bar. Im a little unclear of all the bushings in the front suspension and need help. A list from IE or any other aftermarket would be awesome. What do I need? Thanks in advance
  22. Ive been dreaming of an app for the BMW crowd. One for the faq and one for bimmerforums. I jailbroke my iPhone the second day I had it and have been trolling Cydia and the app store for an app that can do exactly what you all are referring to. Im not sure it will be able to send a text message when a topic has been replied to though. Having the links at the bottom for each section of the forum would be nice and if it wouldnt look like a webpage (having to pinch and zoom to be able to read) that would be awesome too. Uploading pics would be a nice touch as well. Where would one go to get the stuff needed to make apps?
  23. try reading that again, forged flat tops (pistons) @91mm. Not much has changed since my last update other than dropping the front subframe and suspension, removing everything from engine bay so it can be cleaned and repainted.
