  1. Not to send you away but check out e30tech.com That site is a huge repository for turbo info. The M10 was in an E30 as well. There are a few M10's on that site that have over 350hp. itll get you started anyways. For my build im using a HX35 turbo off a cummins diesel truck, with a 292 reground cam from IE, SDS, 3 inch exhaust, +1 stainless steel intake and exhaust valves with a 3 angle job, deshrouded head, race prepped rockers with rocker locks instead of springs, oversized eccentrics, adjustable cam gear, and ported and polished intake ports. The bottom end will get a complete rebuild too, probably with 90.5 mm forged flat top pistons. From what Ive been told, the rods are good to ~500 hp on a 'great' tune, so those will be stock on my build. everything else will be gone over (on the bottom end) and replaced with new parts. I hope this helps you out.

  4. More info on resistors used for each set of lights? How does th blinker work with a non led front blinker? Any specific controller needed for these? Comparison shots?

  9. will this bracket work with a 265 trans? I dont know if the length of the 245 is the same as the 265.

  11. So...ive thought about this for a while and have not come to a conclusion yet. What throw out bearing is used with this trans? I assume you will be using a 228 flywheel. Thats the same size as the M3 flywheel, right? If the 228 and the M3 flywheel are one in the same, what TO bearing to use? M3? Since the E21 323 TO bearing is used with the 245 and 228mm, Im all confused!
  12. Thanks for the reply. Yes I'll be running the turbo flares. I had considered making my own but may go with the turbo flares. The speedo cable question was answered by myself forgetting that I will swapping the speedo drive into the 265, duh! With regards to the big brake setup, I feel I'm a little to late into the local pick n pulls to actually get the parts. As for the brake lines, what diameter brake lines should be used to re-line the car?
  13. I'm in the very slow process of rebuiding everything on my car and came across brake fluid in the booster. I'm assuming the master cylinder is leaking, correct? I plan on upgrading to big brakes...on a budget but need to buy a kit. Which one is the best for a reasonable price that comes with everything including 320 hubs? What is a great replacement master cylinder that will improve braking? 7 series? From what year and is it a single line setup? What diameter brake line should be used? Since I have to replace all of it I think I'm gonna build it myself instead of buying it prebent. I'll be running 15x8 et0 and have read that this setup will eat bearings if I don't swap to tii struts, is this true? The car will be mostly driven on hwy. Swapping the 265 mated to the m10b20 is going to require a lot of tunnel work, understood. What speedo cable can be used since swapping to the 245 requires the auto speedo cable. Will this cable work with the 265? That's all for now, it's hard to see all this on the iPhone. Military networks block forums, so I have to scour the forums on the phone. This car will be turbo if the question of "why do you need big brakes on a street car" comes up. Thanks in advance!!

  16. What about the LSD unit? Ring and pinion AND LSD? I'm looking at getting a gear ratio that's closer to 3.45 without the ginormous price tag of the 320/6 LSD
  17. Will the internals (or entire diff) of a 318ti work in the 02? I know, search! I'm at work and this site is proxied so I'm posting from my iPhone, which it tedious and time consuming to say the least. Thanks in advance edit: I sent an email to metric mechanic and the person that received the email showed it to their diff builder, Courtney, and he said yes. The internals will fit. Now I just gotta find out if anything else is needed other than swapping parts around...
  18. Ill be doing mine with plasti-dip. You can get itin an aresol can from lowes. I've sprayed the "2002" emblem with one coat and it looks good. The cool thin is that if you don't like it you can peel it off, don't know how it holds up to weather, as mycar is in Jack stands and will most likelybe there for at least another year

  20. ??? Why? it sounds like its either in a 2002 or a E21. Searching will help you out more that you know. The 2.0 crank from the 2002 is forged therefore stronger, most everywhere ive read the pistons are the weak spot of the bottom end of the 2.0. A great combo would be a 1.8 head and a 2.0 bottom end with the forged crank and forged pistons. This is because the 1.8 head flows better than either a 121 or E12 head. since people are suggesting you go to another forum to research, try e30tech.com. Im also a member over there and there are tons and tons of boost info. I would suggest that site.

  22. Ive just gotten my rear toe and camber parts in from IE and expected to have some sort of pictures to go off of for the location of these parts. Nope, just written instructions. Before I tackle this, can someone post pics of where these are installed so I know that they are in the exact location needed. I know where they go but I dont know how much vertical overhang or positioning on the subframe or how to "slot" the existing holes properly.

  25. Will these bolt to the factory location of the 2002 seats? with no modification? Ive heard that some 635 seats will sit too high. Do I have anything to worry about these?
