  1. Then it looks like he goes home from the morgue and parks his '68 fastback right behind a 2002. Am I seeing things?
  2. During the intro. Parked 3-4 parking spots down from the '68-'69 white el camino. Jag? Must be one of Steve McQueen's cars for sure. Anyone know what it is?
  3. Swear I saw that GT up here in Washington state just two days ago, though I'm sure there is no possible way.
  4. I'll be up there tomorrow morning volunteering here http://www.newmoonfarm.org/. four two five five zero one seven one eight four. I'll do what I can. btw my name is Eric.
  5. I have some pics but a crappy internet connection. I'll try to get more up!
  6. I was just at the historics and the cars are heavily modded as Toby says. I'm in a bad internet spot right now but I'm trying to upload some photos now. The cars were 1600tis, looked like the engines were lowered, not sure about the trannies (I did see the timing hole). Good bunch of guys but there were less this year. Probably due to the economy. Special oiling capabilities, some kind of pressurized unit from the trunk. And they weren't even competitive like I've seen in the past. I think an Alfa won the group. Ha Ha smoked even the porches.
  7. http://www.sovren.org/ Just a PSA. I don't have any affiliation but I think there are people on here who do. Last time I went there was a strong showing of '02s. However, my favorite car was an old Alfa Romeo GP car and it looks like Alfa is the celebrated mark this year. Should be cool.
  8. It'd be interesting to get some description of where those photos were taken.
  9. Or is it disconnected and plugged? Not trying to be flip I just want to know as well.
  10. I have a '74. In the picture above the fitting is still in the manifold so that brass cap would work. My guess is that is a plumbing item. However, on mine I had to ruin those threads to get the egr off. Which left me having to remove the fitting (you can see the nut for the actual fitting that goes into the manifold in the above photo just below the brass cap). I plugged my manifold with a replacement oil drain plug that I found at the local auto parts store as mentioned above as well as in other threads.
  11. I still think I'm pretty good. And my music is probably better, too.
  12. From your description it could be the regulator. There should be a separate gauge for the tank/tanks. If not there should be a bleeder valve to drain the water out of the tanks. Open that and see if there is air in the tanks. If it is a single stage compressor then both cylinders should discharge into the tanks meaning that if one side fails the thing should still pump at what would seem like half speed. It is unlikely that both sides would fail together. However, if they did you should check and see if the air is blowing out through the air filters. In that case it might just be a gasket in each head that separates the intake from the discharge. If it is a two stage compressor where one cylinder pumps into the other for further compressing then you got me. You could also have a major leak in your discharge line but a leak of that size should be detectable while the compressor is running. HTH
  13. Just off the top of my head I think that is about right for my stock '74.
  14. Sorry I haven't read all the posts so forgive me if this is redundant. Congrats first of all. I wouldn't do it in my '02. I drive to SLC every other winter. Sometimes it's no biggie but one year there was a eighteen inches of snow from Ogden to Boise on the way home. The semis were making huge ruts in the snow. The only thing worse than trying to pass them was being stuck behind them. Anyway, it's not a terrible drive and I think we've done it in about 14 hours in good conditions from Marysville. But the weather is a crap-shoot.
  15. I need to come up with some gift ideas for myself. I hate doing this but it makes it easier for other people to shop. Someone posted about a multimeter from amazon.com the other day and I can't find the post. That would be about perfect price-wise but I can't find the post. Any other ideas would be great.
  16. I recently purchased a 37" LG from Best Buy for $499. It's 1080 and 60. I think it's great. We sit about 12' away but also watch it from the kitchen which is about 20'. Formula One is fine. YMMV. Remember that it is one of those purchases that will be amortized over a pretty good stretch.
  17. Mine acts funny when a tail lamp/brake lamp is lit. If the tail/brake bulb stops working then the fuel gauge acts normally.
  18. Nice work. Gonna pop in a Firefly episode in your honor.

Ellensburg was originally slated to be the state capital. http://www.historylink.org/index.cfm?DisplayPage=output.cfm&file_id=7549
  20. Looks like a sweet trip. My mom and her childhood friend were at the Lake Quinalt Lodge on 8-19. She told me they hiked to the world's largest spruce tree and dined at the lodge. I congratulated her on her epic hike and told her that she deserved a good dinner after burning all those calories from the hike. "Hold on," she says, "the hike was only 5/8 mile and we ate before the hike."
  21. Still the epitome of skiing drama, "Hot Dog! The Movie" has some BMW content. Check out Harking Banks' blue NAVA helmet that he wears in the "Chinese Downhill."
