  1. I believe they will work fine yes assuming they are the standard round 1 1/2"-ish cross bars (don't quote me on that diameter..)
  2. I've got a couple of things that I'd like to move along. First is the center piece for a three piece dash. It has a crack on either end but other than that is in fine shape. This item is free if picked up. I'm in the East Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area. Secondly, I have a pair of Yakima Viper roof top bike mounts, locks are not included. These are in good condition, just don't fit our new cars cross beams, so off they go. $80 for the pair. Prefer pick up as they are pretty large to ship, but open to shipping if need be. 3. Thanks for posting those Esty, those patterns do indeed look like a nice step forward from mine. Let me know when you start doing trade-ins..
  4. Does anyone have photos of recent Esty kits? I have one of her early ones and have never been super happy with how it fits. Curious to see how the newer patterns lay down, where the edge trim is, etc..
  5. Where about in the bay area are you?
  6. After searching a few different companies I ended up with Farmer's. The key reasons were as follows: Doesn't require it to be in a locked garage. Would do an agreed value policy. Will offer comprehensive coverage, so if I screw up I'm still covered, as well as theft, etc... Will cover "driving school" track days as long as I'm not racing. The insurance isn't super cheap, but I like having each of the above elements and I wasn't able to find that combination elsewhere, most notably the driving school component. Note that I've not had to file a claim to date, so who knows how they'll be if/when the time comes. Hopefully I never find out.
  7. If their recently discussed optimistic Ebay ads are any guideline, I would say that Select Classics would say that this car has been "closely inspected and approved by five independent inspectors."
  8. I'm interested in a set. Trichardson AT clifbar DOT com
  9. Hi guys. On our Lemons car we have a transmission fill bolt which has been absolutely destroyed. It does not have a recessed allen hole, rather it is/was just a more traditional 17mm (I think) bolt. It has obviously been abused grossly on numerous occasions and it is now impossible to get a good purchase on it, not to mention the fact it is on there incredibly tight. I've tried a heat gun, breaker bar on vice grips, etc... Have made ZERO impact. Any suggestions on getting the sucker out of there?
  10. Thanks for the ideas Colin. In regards to your questions: My TPS averaging lag factor is set to 75 I'm not using closed loop IAC as I'm not running one through MS at all. My MAP is remarkably stable at idle, hovering around 50kpa +/- 2 points. I too have been thinking that it's likely the throttle plates not returning all the way, but thought an easy way I could measure this would be if I could get a true read on the TPS output. I know from experience that I can manually raise the rpm's quite a bit before the TPS signal finally moves from 0 to 1 percent. A couple of years ago I used to be able to read the datalog info in Excel, but I can't see an option to change the format in MegaLogviewer. If I could do this I thought I could just re-format the cells in the TPS column to display down to a couple of decimal points.
  11. Wow. Honestly, I'm pretty suprised he went back to Yamaha, I thought he'd more likely go to Honda and take over Casey Stoner's ride. Either way, it should be pretty interesting. Do you know who'll be riding for Ducati in his absence? Sure hope Rossi can rekindle some of his old magic once he's back on a decent bike!!
  12. I'm having an issue where my motor doesn't always return to idle in a consistent fashion. For example, sometimes if I pull up to a stop light the rpm's will drop down to about 1350, whereas other times it will drop down to about 1100 (where I want idle to be.) Usually, if the idle doesn't drop all the way down but I give the throttle a quick blip, it will usually then drop down to 1100-ish. However, when looking in Tuner Studio or in MegaLog Viewer it will always show the TPS position as zero while at idle. What I'm trying to figure out if this is a tuning issue, or rather, if the throttle plate is just not quite shutting but the output signal from the TPS is low enough that the software is rounding the number down to zero. So, based on the above, I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to get better granularity into what the TPS reading is (for example, could I get the number down to two decimal points.) Anybody know if this is doable?
  13. Cris. Is this a road trip, or a relocation?
  14. I have a tii airbox that I no longer need. There is some surface rust on each of the components, but nothing too dire. I've cleaned it up for the sale, but what it really needs is some TLC (sanding and/or sandblasting) and a fresh coat of paint or powder coat. $60 plus shipping. 15. I have no personal experience with Safelite. However, I'd suggest asking quite a few questions of the tech before they commence to be sure they've done a bunch before. Perhaps also confirm they have the correct tool for the lockstrip. I learned the hard way and had my brand new paint damaged in several places by a moronic glass guy who tried to push the strip in with a screw driver. I still get pissed just thinking about it.
  16. Thanks Colin. Yes, I did see that and in some ways it looks easier than blended, but in others (calculating the bins) it seems a little more mind bending. Lots of great info guys. thanks so much. I'll share my learning as I get it (very slowly!!)
  17. Oh man, my head hurts!!! I'm not using EGO control for the time being, yet another thing to look at as the project progresses.
  18. Thanks Colin, sounds like VEAL is something I should investigate more seriously. I'm a creature of habit I suppose. Remind me what PID is? Sounds like something I would see a drug advertised for during 60 minutes.
  19. Thanks Steve, and no worries on the timing, I know life can get busy at times. I've read and re-read your posts on ITB load several times, but honestly am still struggling with fully understanding it. As such, I was going down the path of getting rolling with the blended approach, hoping that as I learn more, the ITB load process will become more logical/understandable to me, and then I could move to this in the not too distant future. I have also yet to play with VEAL, so just one more thing to add to the learning pile. If you don't mind, I might send you a separate email with a few more questions, as now the old email might be a bit outdated as I've picked up odds and ends here and there. Let me know if you might have some time to help a less than stellar computer guy hobble through this... Thanks again. Tom
  20. Thanks Steve. I'm currently running MSII V3.0, firmware version 2.891 but will be switching over to MS2/Extra pretty soon here so I can utilize ITB load as you outlined on your site (which is excellent, by the way.) I actually sent you an email a couple of weeks back with some questions, not sure if you got it. trichardson AT clifbar DOT com. Back to the initial post though: The only place I see an option for selecting AN is in the Injection Control setting, nowhere else, and when I switch from SD to AN-only, the y axis still shows at kPA, and I see no option in any of the menus to generate a table utilizing TPS. Any guidance would be appreciated. I have what I believe is a very good SD VE table right now and I've worked in Megalog viewer to capture a number of TPS points that I can plot as the beginning of an AN table (it looks very similar to the one on your site actually, +/- 5-10% in most areas.) My plan was to get an AN table relatively well dialed in, and then I'd have strong information as I move to the blended table or ITB load option. Just trying to take baby steps here...
  21. I've been running Speed Density for the last few years but want to create an AN table en route to doing a blended set-up. However, when I switch to AN in the basic Injector Control settings, I assumed that the VE table would now be set up for TPS, vs MAP. This is not happening. Any idea what I need to do to get a VE table with TPS on the X axis?
  22. I've decided to sell my set of Superlight wheels. These are Australian made alloy wheels. They are 15 x 6, ET 24. Tires are Fuzion ZRI, 205-50-15 which still have a good amount of tread on them. All four wheels are in excellent condition, with no curb rash, dings, dents, or bends. The finish on them is original and in excellent condition. The only thing missing is one of the center caps. When I first put them on my car my suspension was stock, and it required having the fender lips rolled front and rear. My preference is to sell them locally as I'd rather not deal with shipping such a large item. Price is $550/obo. Reply here or email me at trichardson AT clifbar DOT com
  23. Holy cow. Glad to hear the driver of the rolled car is ok. Definitely makes you appreciate the value of a good cage.
  24. Thanks a lot Colin, I'll take a look at your link to see if it helps clear things up. For some reason, all this stuff with different firmwares, rev #'s, etc... just makes my head hurt. Would you be up for helping me a little offline if I continue to struggle to understand it? trichardson AT clifbar DOT com
