come to think of it they are very tight thus requiring more pressure to open the door. not putting the bolt on the rear of the check bracket could cause excess strain on the pin hole bracket. having it also bolted to the door allows for the door to assist allowing for less strain on the pin bracket. i feel better about drilling the extra hole now.
i see what you are saying. i used the entire check. then i didn't need to drill holes in my door? (
well, they will be that much more secure.
they do work great and they feel super tight.
i hope you guys aren't being redirected to a "spoof" site. check the URL. this happened to a buddy of mine. i think that if eBay updated the site, everyone would see it.
Is there more button inside the hand brake lever? Mine is flush and at times difficult to depress and was wondering how to get the hand brake cover off to extend the button.
I recall someone recommeding this one (or one like it) from JC Whitney. Is this one a good choice? Just wire it up to the existing brake light source? Someone had it installed at the top of the window. I am wondering how it would look installed at the bottom.
Mike Self may chime in with his "potato chip bag" fix using the inside of a potato chip bag. some companies use a shiney mylar for bags and it won't short out the lights.
i bought a set a couple years ago. pretty good. kinda thin and there was maybe one or two pieces that didn't fit into place like it should. but overall a good buy.
btw, when i got mine (dark tan in color) it was only $165 (from what i can remember)
