    betweeen LA and Newport Beach. It may have been craigslist.org. but I think it was an automatic transmission. not sure. It was blue/Atlantik. Ive checked around Marina Del Rey/Venice and they say it would cost about a thousand to install a/c, and it would slow down the power of the car. So I suggest open windows. Its gets a bit toasty in the sun. The cool part is, you can open the passenger side window, while sitting in the drivers seat. I find that fun.

    I cant tell you the location because I was on the trolley going to the old wharf. They were not near each other. I dont know Monterey. But I was yelling out "an 02" passengers thought I was nuts.

    Some of the mechanics know of 02s for sale. Also try Specialist on Lincoln av ask for Sergio. He knew of 2 last year, but I dont know the outcome. Last year there was a 73 for sale (in great condition too) for $3000.

    for a few weeks now. Actually I accidently drove by it and saw it for sale before it went on craigslist. So he's probably a bit more ready to sell. He was asking 2500 and he's now asking 1600. He's put some money into the mechanics, but I think it'll take a bit more work before it can be a reliable daily driver. He and I actually spoke, and he seems to be pretty honest. He said its not reliable. The body has quite a few dings, but nothing major. The windows were too dirty to see if there were any dash cracks. It hasnt been on craigslist that long, If you have the bucks call GT International on Colby and Olympic, Sergio at Specialist on Lincoln. All of these places are closed on Saturday, but if Rob's not flexible...offer more money to the mechanic. Personally In my illustrious know it all opinion, I'd say just do it. 1600 what can you lose. It does run. Its been on both sides of the street since I've known it was for sale. I keep considering it too. But I already have one 02. Let me know what happens, so I can stop driving by it.

    I waved to the guy 3 times. I was walking by the park. We need to get some cool 02 caps. Something that screams 02, because I'm tired of these blank stares. I think the bmw 2002 caps look like they're referring to the year.

    I saw two 02s today on Abbot Kinney st and one saturday parked at the Grove I tried to motion to the guy driving the blue 02, on Abbot Kinney but I dont think he saw me. Mine was parked around the corner.

    The previous owner of my 02 had extensive mechanical work done approximately 5 years ago. According to the reciepts it looks like most of it was replaced. refurb engine, new seals, 5 speed conversion etc. With that said, how often will these parts need to be replaced? Should I look at major fixes soon or about another 5 years. My 96 HOnda is now wearing out. My 02 is more reliable, but the honda has now reached 10 years. As time goes on I will keep the 02. Any long term up keep suggestions?
