    my trunk lock doesnt work properly either, so its never locked. I have a bunch of junk in there, new balance 991s is the most expensive item. Its all still there. I dont think people assume thats its open. for everything important....golf clubs and shoes, they live behind the back seat. I just keep the old New balance 991s in the trunk in case she stalls and I need to walk.

    "what is looooove anyway...does anybody.." thats all I remember of that song. I saw him open for the Eurythmics a looooong time ago. Karl will be home soon. I know your pain. I waited for 5 months for Blubird to return from her facelift. (body paint, rust removal and a bit of front end damage fixed) congrats on the freebies.

    Sounds good. I dont work on my car...Blubird...Tom Cleave did the work at Autobahnn. Ive talked to Andy at "Imports Unlimited" which is now called MPower. I get a wierd vibe. He tried to sell me a 1988 528e with a trashed interior for $4000.

    so we're thinking theres a short in the rrear liscense plate light. I went back there and re taped the wires but that didnt do anything. did I post this already? Where can I find an accurate wire diagram and a harness. I checked on roadfly and they named that harness that they had used in the past, and it doesnt show up for use on 75 02s. any suggestions? also I could use advice on what type of tools to buy. Right now I own a leatherman and some small screwdrivers...you know computer tools.

    LRS7 is part of the non blue liscense plate. I tried to speak to him but it was too loud. He thought I was some crazy lady, not a fellow 02-er cuz I was driving the honda. car looked good. he wasnt pushing too much. I tried to stay with him a bit, but he was driving too slow and I couldnt slow down enough in my lane to get beside him for all the other faster drivers wizzing up to my bumper. anyone know him?

    or perhaps buy a new one. Its been several years since I craked out the soldering kit. any particular specs? I have the chilton and the "restoration" book and another book, but nothing with a wiring diagram. just the engine chassis diagram

    Looked in all my restore books, found nothing. We need to fix the tail dash lights. fuse 8 keeps blowing. thanks I looked online already.

    right tail light is out. instrument panel is out. so I guess my parking light would be out too. I hit a bump, then poof it was all gone.

    I hate to whine, but I was looking in that book with a purpose (okay so I have yet to buy tools, but I was seeking knowledge) and it had NOTHIING ON TAIL LIGHTS? i want to fix my liscense plate lights too (If I'm going to learn the area) and that was more helpful. and the fuse area doesnt mention the right side of the car re: lights? wassup wit that?

    welcome. It may be difficult to find an 02 in Chi with no rust. CHICAGO...the land of "if we dont salt the streets we may lose our mayoral job" (Byrne...remember her?) 3 days drive to Cali, find a 1976...and caravan home. Do it in summer and go through Colorado may the force be with you

    good. my gauge runs about that and sometimes a little bit hotter. Usually I'm driving around 70mph over the I405 in 4th gear I get worried so I turn on the heat. Outside its @98 degrees so I assumed with the weather and the speed, that was the reason. Today it got about 1/4 inch from the start of the red. so I shifted into 5th gear, was driving down hill, turned on the heat, and the temp dropped down to the middle. What may be the problem and do I need to get this fixed? Ive been daily driving it for about a week.

    I got some mud on my shoes and accidentally smeared it on the door while getting into Blubird, my 02. So yes I did a dirty deed in my 02...... ha ha ha that story is true, but its not as colorful as what you were looking for.
