Went out to my car around 4pm to stick an easel I was borrowing in the back. Enraged to discovered, well, an unpleasant sight:
I knew where the car's owner works, the beauty salon next door. And on my lunch break had witnessed her glance off a curb at about thirty mph. So I took some cellphone pictures and went in hot-headed. The receptionist came out with me while somebody else went and got the beige car's owner. Looking things over, I admit, I had jumped the gun and assumed the young girl with the beat to snot car, was the awful driver responsible for this scene. Not to mention being an outright idiot for leaving the car buried in my rear end.
Walking around both the cars though showed a rather sizeable dent in the rear of her car. So something hit her and shoved her car into mine. Closer inspection showed my car didn't take any damage that required more than a tweak to the bumper. So I apologized for being obnoxious and probably slightly scary and went home early.
I considered it a non issue at that point, but she called the cops to report the accident and mentioned my car was involved. They went into my workplace wanting to talk to me. They got my cell # from work and we spoke but they haven't shown up in five hours though, I don't think they're going to.
I'm driving the Apocalypse Scout for the next couple weeks.
