  1. "Ground Control to Major Blunt... put your 02 on the ground!" /Well kinda sung to the tune of Major Tom. Adjustable camber, coilovers, etc. Then you will be able to do what CJ did for wheels - whatever he damn well felt like!
  2. Niiiiiiiiiice! Looking good of course! Keep up the hard work.
  3. I have one... I'm still umming and ahhhing about what I will do with my car. I ill think about it in the next few days - if you are serious and want to make an offer - I have a linkage, Weber 45 side draught and the manifold that are still in a box that I got second hand. No reasonable offer refused. Postage is not really that bad to the US. Shoot me an email - todd2002bmw at yahoo.com.au Todd
  4. Daily ride: 2006 Gitane Mach 2300, lots carbon, Ultegra, etc. under 20lb's. Daily driver: Ford XR8 utility. 5.4Lt quad cam V8 - 340hp from factory, 6 speed auto, leather, CD, LSD, etc. Plus a Blue Power cold air intake and a custom exhaust. Current ride: 2004 BMW 330Ci Individual - sapphire black, imola red leather, M technic kit, 18" M technic rims (bitch to clean!) - hopefully to be replaced with a 335Ci in similar specs in the next 18 months. I am currently holding myself back from purchasing a new 3 door Golf GTI as well... I really want one, but want to get my 2002 back on the road first!
  5. I purchased an OEM one from blunt that cost me bugger all - speak to him for pricing - that will mean it makes it as simple as installing. I tried a lining from a well known company that I will not name in order to keep the peace, but the product was not up to the standard that I was expecting. The OEM fitted right, the first time.
  6. Thanks again... I have my eye on eBay, so I guess I just hang out to find a decent one. Todd
  7. Thanks Mark. Where did you source your head unit from?
  8. Sounds good to me!! Nice to see someone going all out on a Polaris too! I like!! Make sure you start a blog... that way all your info is together and doesn't get lost - great for future reference! Todd
  9. Thanks Mark, That looks great... is that your iPod connection in the bottom right corner of the console image? It obviously connects via the headphone jack on your iPod? What are the gauges also? Todd
  10. Thanks mate! I want it all to be hidden away - lucky I asked. I almost purchased a Mexico Cassette... I will keep looking. Anyone have a good source for old Becker's at reasonable price or excellent condition? Todd
  11. Yeah, scratched mine fitting the bumper bars... I swore. Then I swore some more. Then I stuck rolls of tape over every part of the car! :-P Nice work! I like! How about you start a project thread in the Project Blogs section on this site and update it so your progress doesn't get lost over numerous threads in here...? Are you going for a very accurate US-spec look?
  12. G'day guys & gals. I am keen to get a Becker radio for my build up... my question for anyone with one or who as done some research is: "Can you fit an iPod interface to old style ones?" I am not sure if I dreamt this, but I am sure I read that they all have provisions for one... If you can, I am keen to get on board the Becker radio express!
  13. GO POLARIS!!! Good luck with the project! It looks to be coming together very well! Why did you decide to keep the US bumpers? Are you going for an original look?
  14. Paul, you are a rally fan and you had never seen 'Climb Dance' until now? It is an awesome film... glad you found it.
  15. I've seen a few pics of this car before - looks fantastic! Nice to see and read a bit more about it. Its always good to see some of the older restos before my time on faq.
  16. HAWN!!! Your wife will love it!
  17. Ahhh, that Sabine is the best! What more could you want from a women? She has won the 'ring 24 hour. Her daily driver is a M5 that she thrashes all ay long at the cost of BMW. She is alright looking for a German girl. It doesnt get much better than that. If Iw as going to call my car a name, I really like Sabine since you brang it up!
  18. WOW! What a nice find! No doubt what you dont want will fetch great money in the classifieds! Good luck with it all, keep us posted with your progress on the car. Todd
  19. I am interested to know how your friend goes. Can you organise some details from your friend? Also, when you race your car, do you have a removable cage?
  20. edit - just watched both videos again, it seems you have to reverse into teh burnout area - wierd - maybe next time play around with your tyre pressure a bit to see what affect it has.
  21. AWESOME!! Great fun! We are going to do this Tom at Calder! Davin, did you do a decent burn out in the staging area? It was hard to tell, but your car looked like it went sideways a lot? If you are running on street tires, that will not help you out of the hole with grip at all. On street tires you really have to limit your burnout to spinning the water off them. Norm seemed to understand that... Great fun none the less. No animals were harmed in the filming, that is what is important :-P Great looking cars! Todd
