What size of electric pusher fan works best with the new IE AL radaitor? I assume you could mount the fan on a couple of bar's that run side to side in front of the radiator?

Out of curiosity, are you having a heat issue with the radiator?

I found that the air conditioning pusher fan out of an

early '80's Mazda 323 works great-

it already has the bars, so you drill four holes and

voila- instant fan. It's small- but big enough on the 320 rad,

so I'd expect it's plenty for the bigger all- alu one.

And it weighs only about 3 lbs.

12-13in diameter. curved blades if you want quiet, straight blades if you want cheap.

1200cfm works fine with my brass 320i radiator, so I would bet you'd need even less for the IE radiator. I mounted my fan with little ziptie-like things that just go thru the fins and attach to anchors on the other side, those came with the fan from Jeg's.

he makes a SPAL fan with those two bars attached. Makes a nice mounting system.
