Longshot Noise Question

1976 2002. This is a longshot, but this is the right place to ask.  SO I have a rattle sound coming from the glovebox which occurs every time I hit a bump.  Sounds like the hood latch is loose or something, but I checked all that, replaced any paddling that was there, went through the suspension to make sure everything was tight, checked the shocks of course, cant find the noise and it is driving me crazy.  It is very pronounced but only when I hit a bump. It sounds like metal on metal and appears to be coming from the right front end, somewhere behind the glove box area. Any suggestions would be very welcomed.  Thank you.

Take a look at the door brake/check.  The little strap that keeps the door from swinging out too far.  That can break and rattle making the sound you are describing.

Passenger side strut bearing not assembled correctly on the strut will make a clunking sound over bumps.

My thought as well. Mine did this when I bought it, tightening the lock ring on the passenger wiper mount fixed it.

I had similar recently and the anti roll bar bolts on the subframe had come a little loose.

Gland nuts on struts are another possibility although Im not sure it would sound like it was in the glovebox
