320i block engine mounts

I purchased a basket case car and have a 320i engine, will the 2002 engine mounts bolt on to the block ? Chassis is a 1974.

Yes, they will bolt to an M10 engine out of an E21

What about the oil pan?

The oil pan on an E21 is different than the 2002 oil pan. The oil pump pickup is also different.

Thanks for the help, I’ll have a look at the oil pan also.

The oil pan won’t fit in a 2002, it’s too deep and hits on the subframe, have to change oil pan and oil pump pickup.

Also worth noting is that while early E21 engines are 2 liter, later ones are 1:8l liter.Think the change took place with 1980 model.
