215mm Flywheel - Stock vs. Lightened Comparison

Don’t know, sorry. No scale. But it is significant, and the reduction looks to be concentrated toward the outside diameter. So, I’m hoping it will be pretty impactful.

You don't want impactfullness with a flywheel!

The lightened 215 with stock clutch runs right around 30 lbs-

and the weight's off the perimeter, so it's a nice improvement.

15 in the pressure plate, 15 in the flywheel.

Lots of sharp edges... It's a shame the machinist didn't take the extra 30 seconds to radius them.  You may never have a problem, but sharp edges can lead to stress fractures. Looks like the balanced it, anyways.

I had my FW lightened when we put the 5 speed in years ago. I think you will enjoy yours.

"Impactful" was a poor choice, I guess. What I meant was "noticeable."

Clever.

When lightening, I like the idea of more ‘rounded’ transitions rather than sharp edges. You can see it on this one, which - admittedly - is probably lightened to the point of sketchy. Maybe. -KB
