other Who manufactures this dual fuel tank?

Does anyone have an idea on who makes this double tank which appears to replace the spare tire well? Is this a custom tank? A regular 02 tank that is flipped around?

Cool.  It looks like they took a stock tank and rotated it 90 degrees counter-clockwise (as viewed from above)!  You can see where they "plugged" the fuel pickup hole and the filler pipe.

Looks like a flipped tank. Could be a great way to do those extra-long distance road trips. Better have a bottle to pee in thou!

Of course, the bigger question is why someone would take a Colorado car and paint it white!

 

Maybe that's just me.

 

Really cool tank setup, though. I'm curious about the two filler necks. I'd think a balancing connection underneath (like between the two wells of an E30 tank) would eliminate the need for it. And if the two tanks are separate, why no sender/pickup on the second tank? Unless--attempting to answer my own question--there wasn't enough flow between the two to allow for reasonable-duration fill-ups, even though it was adequate for operation.

 

Also, a little concerningly, any balancing tube would almost have to be directly on top of the muffler. Hope they added a heat shield...

That's ingenious.  I don't think I want one...

 

OP, I think that's a BMW tank being used in a non- OE... orientation!

(hey, the baffles will be facing the wrong direction)
