body and interior Aftermarket solution to Heater to defrost tubes under dash?

Has anybody found a solution to replacing the stock, and often damaged, cardboard like tubes that run from the heater to the defroster under the dashboard? 

Both of mine need replacing and I'd imagine that there is a tube out there that would work fine.

the factory changed to plastic in 73 or 74.

i have piles  of them.

$20 for the pair.

I was gonna say, I've got a bunch of plastic ones running around. I'd just replace yours with the newer plastic ones.

I went to the local VW shop when I was looking for this- they sold me some foil- lined stuff that worked great.

Like Toby, I found exact replacement paper/foil tubes at a VW shop (BowWow Volkswagon Parts).
