  1. Selling a box of E30 Wheel caps. $20 takes the whole box. 7 Caps total. Some caps have a small nick or blemish but otherwise good. Shipping extra.
  2. Not a boomer but thanks for playing. I'm just a person who's documented nearly a thousand concerts and by the looks of it, since before you were born. But I don't want to hurt your 'feelings' so I'll stop now. 🤪
  3. Lay off all that dope. It's clearly a gateway drug effecting your ears. But the car is the shizzle.
  4. What on earth did I just watch? My ear holes hurt.
  5. My cover is starting to shred after several years of CA sun so I stumbled upon this thread on my hunt. Bavarian Autosport is out of business. sadly. Cover Craft no longer offers custom covers for the 2002's (they have different styles since I last ordered from them 5 years ago. The Silverguard Plus is no longer an option). California car covers don't have pockets for the mirrors, and range from $175-$450. The Noah model is $236 +tax and shipping. I'm curious if anybody found another option out there with mirror pockets. I need UV, dust and Rain protection.
  6. Thanks Ken. I let him know... since he is in your hood. I think the nose clip is the biggest piece he needs.
  7. Friend of a friend wrecked his 2002. Needs body parts. Know anybody? Here is the list I have 1972 front radiator clip Right front fender All 3 grills Hood maybe Car is in Long Beach, CA
  8. Check out the photos of the mirror. It is a solid mirror, what you see is what you get. It has a very slight crease on the back of it. Otherwise, great for a daily driver. Not going to help you win a best of show award. Also, FREE - A Medium sized 02 again shirt. Just found this with a stash of parts, never worn, still in the bag (although it has a few slight dust marks on it). You pay shipping. email me at jjwithers at g mail dot c om
  9. Hey there.  A while back you sold me some seatbelts to my 2002.

I'm building a BMW motorcycle with a sidecar and the sidecar has a seatbelt. It is old and kinda crusty.  Can you make a custom seatbelt for me?  If so, how much?

Attached are a few photos of what was on the sidecar originally.

sure can. It is a just an adjustable two-piece lap belt and I can easily make a quality set for you. How about $75 bucks shipped.

Thanks for the reply.  I actually found something locally at a hot rod shop.  Cheers!  I'm glad you are still making belts!  -josh

  10. Rob was amazing to deal with. He even sent me stuff for free sometimes. He was definitely one of the 'good guys' in the 2002 community. I was sad to hear he closed shop, and now this. ouch. Regarding Jim at 2002ad though... my buddy dropped a car there to get a new interior and never really checked on it, and they never called him. About 9 months go by, he checks, and nothing was done to it (he had a premature kid, and lots of family drama so the car wasn't a priority). He finally goes to check in on it after his life settled, and pay for it, and 2002AD changed hands, and his car was gone. It was lein sold (illegally because my buddy was never contacted about it) in OR and sent to the midwest somewhere. Sounds like that was one of the cars Jim took with him... Not cool.
  11. Here is my test with my helper during the day. Given the improvement, i can see my night time results being a significant improvement. https://youtu.be/fCT9N-U9xOQ
  12. Yes, these are the Blunt LED boards that fit into the roundie housings. They look great! But The wiring could have been a bit neater for the conversion. I'll figure it out eventually.
  13. Why is that everything I love costs more then I want to spend!! These look fantastic but after dropping the doe on the LED tail lights, I gotta show some restraint in my wallet.
  14. Yea, i have some of that but I don't want the wires to get all gummy/sticky. I was thinking more of something like a housing similar to the plastic triangle cover that goes on the back of the taillight. That way the wires and that connector board aren't dangling around back there. If I am going to wrap the wires, I'd prefer one of those braided sleeves.
  15. I did a LED tail light conversion over the weekend but I didn't realize the wiring harness that comes with the lights is a tad messy. For those that did the conversion, what did you do to tidy up this wiring?
  16. I got in two accidents with my 72 and BEGGED Mercury to NOT total the vehicle each time. Neither accident was my fault. I was researching for the adjusters the actual value of the car, etc... it was a nightmare. I since switched to Geico for my wife's car and my Eurovan and Haggerty for my 2002. And no accidents since then... thankfully
  17. I can tell from these posts who has kids and who doesn't!
  18. I'm loving this thread i've created. Great ideas and suggestions.... including the ones that sound like torture! haha. I already caught the kid making contact with the car and she denied it to her mom and well... who is the mom going to believe? Not me... I'm actually going to take the cover off and photograph the current state of the car just to be safe... as future evidence... I'm going to find some railroad ties to lie around the car. Those should act as a first barrier of sorts. I'm still on the hunt for extra padding. I'm thinking of moving blankets between the car and the car cover... If i wasn't renting this property, i'd build a fortress around the car.
  19. All the barricades I can find have the potential to get crashed into, and then it will hit the car and cause damage... Maybe parking cones around it will do the trick. If those foam floor mats could be made vertical, it might work... There isn't enough walk way area to put planters around the car... I'd need about 80 pool noodles and a way to secure them... humm... good suggestions... they all got me thinking. Thanks guys. Keep 'em coming... i know there's a way I can win this battle!
  20. That guy totally cloned my bike. He called me throughout the process. Part of me is upset that he did it. Part of me is flattered. He did do some things wrong and I think those pipes are terrible looking compared to mine. He should have just hired me to build it and it would have saved us both aggravation.
  21. I share a driveway with a woman who has a 4 year old that learned to ride a two wheeler today. She already crashed into my 2002. No damage yet and luckily the car cover protected from any scratches. I have a toddler myself so I knew this day was coming... Any ideas on barricades or barriers to put around 2 sides of a car to protect it? I have one iron decorative fence that I can secure something to. Or I can build some sort of free floating gate that sections off that part of the driveway. But I'd need some sort of door... Are there any solutions already out there that you guys know of? Hopefully cheap. It's a rental property and I'm not going to invest too much on land I don't own.
  22. Hey Jerry, I'll message or email you. Paypal or any other payment would work. I can get it in the mail soon, even though I am driving to SF this weekend for work, i'll let the post office deliver it to you. And yes, this is probably the air cleaner that was on Betty when you sold her to me. I'm glad to hear you are reviving another Malaga! JTG13 -My car has been through a lot during this past decade. Jerry restored it in the bay area and finished it in 2009. I drove it to LA, upgraded many parts if the car, and it is now fuel injected. Unfortunately, it suffered two bad accidents in Los Angeles (both not my fault). The car was completely re-painted both times but the paint shop did a bad job. Some areas have cracking paint or slight bubbles in the paint. I am very disappointed and have been back and fourth with the body shop to the point where i just give up. Someday my 3yr old son will inherit the car and i'll leave it up to him to have it repainted! haha. But the car still turns heads and gets compliments. And it's a blast to drive although I won't win any races.
