Good news bad news, the bad is some fool will pay way too much for this car, the good news is someone will pay way more for a properly preserved/restored example we all have parked in our driveway, win win for all

+1

If this one goes for what we think is too much money, consider yourself lucky since the value of yours just went up. :)

$9,305 with nearly 6 days to go! This one may beat my $12,000 "absolute-limit-of-reason" price! Or, the sale will fall through and it will be re-listed within a month!

Steve

It's reached $12,100, so I'm guessing the high bidder is not on this forum or, alternatively, knows tons about 02's in general and this 02 specifically -- for instance, the engine has just been balanced and blueprinted by Korman -- NOT!

Anyway, if he/she doesn't back out of this deal, I'm sure we'll meet him/her on this forum somewhere down the road!

Someone paid $12,100 for this load. They'll be here next week complaining.

Yes, but...we'll be understanding, sympathetic, and will guide him/her out of his/her "predicament"! Yes? Isn't that what we do best: cut them down and then build them up!

This thing is horrible. Panel fit is baad. You can see how badly it was hit in the rear looking at the photo of the space saver spare and the fuel tank. The sheet metal divider which would support the floor panels is tweaked! A whack like that normally pooches out the rear quarter panels above the tires as well. Grills are not 73.

It's not often that I'm right, so I thought I should publicize it!

And if you missed out on the first $22,000 BIN, and the $12,100 winning-bid auction, you might want to jump in now, or not!

I think the 5 speed is one of those 4 forward and 1 reverse gear types.

I got one of them! Are they rare?

But, I must admit, the door cards look pretty good -- which is more than I can say for the driver's side lower control arm.

Hey, great news! This one didn't sell after all. Through some inexplicable forces of nature, the apparent $12,000-plus sale never occurred. Boy, never heard of THAT happening. Surely a shill bidder wasn't involved. But don't worry - the same seller has the car back on eBay, and now it can be yours for just over $17,000. Don't miss it this time.

Alternatively, a real bidder -- obviously, NOT an FAQ subscriber -- saw the car in person and ran like hell!
