engine and drivetrain Cleaning /painting under the hood question.

In an effort to "detail" the engine bay area I noticed my blue coil is faded.

My question: Is there any reason I cannot remove/paint the coil and the voltage regulator?

I understand all connecting surfaces should be masked.

Hey just take it out and clean it up they usually paint thse pretty good so.... lightly scuff all contacts for better continuityOr buy a new blue

coil.

Remove the coil mounting bracket by removing the pinch bolt then spreading the bracket apart so that it slides over the coil. If you do not spread the bracket out, it will scratch your newly painted coil.
